Window opens on December 1st for 10 days for those of you interested.

"under consideration"

I have an app put in during the April window that's status is UNDER CONSIDERATION. Does that mean anything...

It may mean you are under consideration.

Okay, to rephrase, does that little message "under consideration" ever change or say something else like "denied," "you ain't too blue," or "interview scheduled?" Does it actually mean someone opened it, reveiwed it, and it's in a "maybe" stack somewhere, or is this simply a stock acknowledgement of receipt?

Thanks to those in the know!

The "under consideration" just means someone in the People Dept has accessed your app. Did you go to the open house in May?

Are newbies being put in the 320 or the 190?

Did they just start a class last week or so?

is MCO an option out of training on the 190?

It is posible. Because MCO is a small base it is more likely that you will have to wait till someone transfers out. The fact that training is expected for the foreseeable future it should not take long to get MCO on the 190.

The most junior 190 FO in MCO on the last bid is 1966 out of 2041

I wasn't offered an opportunity to go to the open house. No.

Is MCO difficult to commute in and out of? I figure there have got to be a decent amount of airline pilots living in that area.

Dont know about JB, but on another major who has more than 20 flights a day, forgetaboutit!

Its not as hard as it was before the MCO base opened. I would summize that in the next 5 years MCO could surpass LGB as the most senior base at B6. Not saying that it will happen, just that it might.

I did..and did not get a call for an interview.

I'm in the same boat. Wondering if they'll eventually get around to calling all of us to at least interview. That kinda hinted at that at the open house, so we'll see. I'd imagine they'll have another open house after the beginning of the year, so who knows.....

Could it hurt to apply if I don't have my ATP yet? I should be getting it done soon, but just not within the application window.

Your probably the type of applicant they will be looking for. Enjoy the right seat for a very very long time. This will be your "destination" airline. Without a good deal of PIC or PIC turbine time you will be stuck in that seat without any prospect of being hired anywhere else for at least 10 years. Enjoy!

The beatings will continue until moral improves!

Did anybody notice how the application didn't have a "pilot only" tab like the last one application ?

But they did add a cover letter tab?

Hopefully, it wasn't just me....

Pilot only tab? What for? The flight attendants doing the selection want to know two things: Are you anti-union, and Will you help clean? The rest is just fluff. Besides, you're no better than anyone else. You were singled out for an extra two weeks of training and you think you deserve better pay and treatment than the hard working professional inflight crew? Pass. There's always a blue juicer behind you who doesn't think so highly of himself. Here, have some gloves.

I guess I should have known better to ask a legitimate question on FI....

Thanks anyway.

I would apply if I were you. You can go back later and update when you get your ATP. Otherwise the window may not be open for NEW apps when you get your ATP, but if you've already applied you should be able to update even if the window isn't open.

Semper fi and PM me if you have questions about JetBlue. BTW, do you recognize my signature line?
