I forgot that the WRC is no longer relevant.

Following the vote of the WRC on the FSM which was against. The company started a new selected committee. WRC reveiw and implementation committee!

Wish I was making this stuff up... I'm not, they made a committee to review the committee. Feel free to laugh at us, Management does everytime they leave a Pocket session.

since we are talking pay, what is the "typical" annual salary for a new A320 Captain and say a 5-year FO

5 Yr FO around $120,000 to $130,000....but that will end soon.

$130,000 for a 5 year A320 ($92 per hour)!? What are you smoking!

That is getting paid for 1413 hours!? How the he!! are you getting 413 hours of soft time after flying 1000 hours of block? Do you work 29 days a month?

*** be careful whom you get your info from. Some people seem to have a hard time with basic math?

Edit: Oops, forgot "blended rate"! 1401 hours of pay!

Go on airlinepilotcentral.com and look up the salaries for each airline.

As for Sailpilot's example. If you work the max of 1000 hrs at $92/hr... well, Im gonna let you figure this one out.

If you get PAID 1000 hrs you will get 94k including time and half.

Hourly rate times 1000 hours dont always = Annual salary. At one said Regional that paid a lot of soft time at $63hr + Perdiem my 2007 W2= $115,000.

Chairman

If you are a 5 yr FO you will be on 6 yr pay rate.....that rate is not $92 but it's 95.65 for the first 78 hours....anything above 78 is at $143.48....I credit around 90 to 95 hours a month....let's use 90 hour credit....78x95.65=7460 12x143.48=1721.76 7460+1721=$9181
$9181x12=$110,181 I also get redeye override of $13 in hour...Again for me Avg about $700 a month.. some guys don't like redeyes so they don't do them...so add $8400 a yr...$110,181+8400=$118,581 and that's for 90 hours a month....Credit....No RSA.....

Some don't count per diem towards their salary.

Seems like you got it down pat. Why did you ask your original question?

Ok Sorry $63 hr = $107,000 W2 2007

Don't apologize. If I wanted to find out what i would make at an airline (minimum), I would take hourly rate x min guarantee. All other hrs, pay is not guaranteed until its done, so I don't count on it. Congrats on your W2. Were you expecting that at the beginning of the year?
