For the record, I was a captain at a regional airline and came to JetBlue. I'm not saying that things are perfect here, but they are a hell of a lot better than they were at my last company.

Please please please please please STOP comparing JetBlue to your regional. We are a major airline. Our leadership has promised us average compensation when compared to our PEERS....NOT REGIONAL AIRLINES. They have yet to deliver on that promise.

I don't care that JetBlue is better than your regional. It's better than mine too....WHO CARES! We're a major carrier...it's supposed to be better than a regional. That's why you come here.

By the way...our health insurance is wayyy worse than my crappy regional and wayyy more expensive. And it's about to get a lot worse....

Another JetBlue pilot satisfied with mediocrity....sad.

Never said I was "satisfied" with mediocrity. In fact, I said more than once that JetBlue had a lot of room for improvement. BUT, that is a lot different than saying "stay at your regional because JetBlue is TERRIBLE!!!" You seem to be blinded by a hatred for your employer. There are a lot of people in this industry like that. This place needs a lot of improvement, again, this place needs a lot of improvement!! However, I wouldn't tell someone not to come here. Delta, southwest, united, etc may never call, and if they do you might not get the job. Just saying its easy to sit here and tell people who work at crappy companies with terrible pay and work rules not to come to JetBlue. There is a reason why we are all here.

Never said I was anti union either... Last two airlines I was happy paying my dues. So thanks for figuring out what I would do in a vote. I have not voted yet... I have not had the chance...... You are starting to make me wonder....

PS. Mike has a right to have an opinion just as much as you. It can go both ways. You are giving him crap about coming from a regional... Well Is JB a Legacy carrier like you want it to be? All opinions. He is happy so why can't he be happy? I am sorry if you are not happy making 200K a year. Go find another job that will pay that and be off 16-18 days off a month... Good FN luck. Tired of you guys not taking your job seriously... That is for sure.

You guys take the discussions and complaining here about 2-4 topics as a hatred for the job or the company, and your wrong. The vast majority of us feel the same as MikeSf340. The problem is, is that after 3, 4, 10 years of hearing "we're gonna fix that" "we hear ya loud and clear... this time" and "the workaround is right around the corner" it gets very old and guys are tired of it.

If your new here at jetBlue you should be glad to be here. I am too and so are most of us. This is a B!tch board for the issues and they are being brought up and discused. If you don't wanna read about the suck parts, don't read it. It's pretty good here, but it's not all champagne and roses. It's also not a daaamn regional. Demand what your worth. It's a heck of alot more than the regional pay scales offer.

Keep in mind 813ca is anti union. If you are a capt at any regional hold out for delta, usair, southwest, FedEx, ups, or united.

Yes. Way better to hold out. Keep getting your 12 days off, Topping out pay wise at 70K-90K a year, and 3% retirement. Good idea.

Yes JB need some improvements however I only work Tuesdays through Thursdays this month. That is on reserve after 10 months on property. Yes this did include useing 1 PTO day. Find me a regional pilot that has a schedule like that. You might find a Legacy pilot that does that. Not a regional pilot though.

JB might not be a final resting place for many for various reasons, but it sure is a better place to wait for Delta, Southwest, FedEx, UPS to call than any regional is.

The point is yes JB needs improvements and I will vote appropriately next time there is a union vote, but life can be very very good here as well.

This is what it has come to. Is JetBlue better than a regional? Wow.

Did you not read the post. I am saying my schedule is on par if not better than most guys at Legacy carriers. So yes i guess that does mean it is also better than a regional.

The funny thing here is that we are on the same team when it comes down to the final goal that we want. The difference between me and all of the blow hards (both on this board and our B6 board) is that I can see the good things that we do have, and I don't swet the small stuff. Some of the things I hear you guys complain about are unbelievable. I would be willing to bet that many of you could have the best pay, retirement, medical, LTD in the industry and still bitch and complain about something.

So yes B6 is better than any regional. Yes B6 has a way to go to catch up to our Legacy partners in many ways. However it is blowhards like you that do more to hurt the cause than to help it. If all you blow hards do is bash this place do you think more CBA minded pilots are going to be applying here, or more BOB's. Think it through a little.
