I know that upcoming pilot retirements at B6 are pretty slim, but can someone relay how many years of service one needs and at what minimum age can a pilot be eligible for retiree travel?
Also any other particulars - unlimited, OAL, cost, priority, etc.
Thanks
JetBlue is a great place to be. Best I have ever been with...
For the record, I was a captain at a regional airline and came to JetBlue. I'm not saying that things are perfect here, but they are a hell of a lot better than they were at my last company.
Keep in mind 813ca is anti union. If you are a capt at any regional hold out for delta, usair, southwest, FedEx, ups, or united.
Yes. Way better to hold out. Keep getting your 12 days off, Topping out pay wise at 70K-90K a year, and 3% retirement. Good idea.
Yes JB need some improvements however I only work Tuesdays through Thursdays this month. That is on reserve after 10 months on property. Yes this did include useing 1 PTO day. Find me a regional pilot that has a schedule like that. You might find a Legacy pilot that does that. Not a regional pilot though.
JB might not be a final resting place for many for various reasons, but it sure is a better place to wait for Delta, Southwest, FedEx, UPS to call than any regional is.
The point is yes JB needs improvements and I will vote appropriately next time there is a union vote, but life can be very very good here as well.
This is what it has come to. Is JetBlue better than a regional? Wow.
