Actually, I do have to say, in my on and off Flight Info spells, I've found pilotyip to make some good points and be a generally good guy. And I'm sure that Yip is a really nice guy. But seriously, that post is beyond stupid. (I'll bet he even admits it was a totally misplaced troll...) Agreed?

Thank you for a nice touch of reality, I have a few friends working there, some without 4 yr degrees. They are great guys, and I wonder when these airline HR dept start doing the everyone must be an astronaut candidate stuff they have lost touch with the job.

Suicides are prevalent - one of my good friends from flight school just lost his brother to one. Army- 2 trips to sunny Iraq and 1 to Afghanistan. PTSD. After 5 years, took his life.

Note- if you have an opinion about suicide- cool- but if you haven't been touched by it- best to stay quiet. I had to break up a cat fight about 6 months ago after a cool guy FO started spouting off his crap-- he'll provide the bullets- bleeding heart liberals all want to over analyze everything- let em all shoot themself - blah blah blah- standard tough guy stuff not based at all in reality. Turns out that hit a bit too close to home for someone in the van not impressed by his aggressive act.

And it was an act. I've never seen a guy shamed or cower so bad in my life.

I joke it all the time. "If your'e having girl problems i feel bad for you son- i've got 99 problems but a ........... aint one. "

but relationships can be a mother ********************er. Best not to preach, or make light- you find someone in a bad way in the head- get them some help.

Majors routinely have upwards of 10,000 apps when the windows open- you don't have to filter that- nor does any regional- hence the 4 year degree requirement-
