A 250 hour comair pilot was never worth more than $19 hour. Comair was a third party contractor which typically went to the lowest bidding regional therefore comair should never have been considered a career job. If you went on strike as a third party contractor flying for a regional you had your priorities out of whack.

If you work for a company who doesn't even set its own ticket prices how the hell do you expect to dictate financial terms of a CBA. This is the problem with regionals and regional pilots. These are not career jobs, they are simply stepping stones. How many more times does someone have to explain this.
Back to beer and college football.

The notion that regional airlines are "not a career" is exactly why ALPA now represents more "non-career" pilots than so-called "career" pilots at the majors.

The airlines have gone to great lengths to replace big jets with little jets so they can furlough career pilots and hire non-career pilots for crap wages, crap work rules, and no pensions (all because its not a career).
