Yeah, but you get to stay in a new jetblue dorm room with no fridges, no alcohol or visitors (including spouses), no parking for personal vehicles, and jb PR posters all over the walls. In lieu of that 716 bucks, you get $1016 dollar voucher that can only be used in the jb dorm cafeteria. Oh, and whatever you don't spend in the cafeteria, you lose. There's also a bar in the dorm. I'll bet that's going to be party central! (Smile for the cameras!)And they just cut new hire training pay by $700 & change a month.
Incredible....
Out of respect for the hard working pilots of Blue do the industry a favor and don't apply.
My jumpseat is open any night for guys. Fight the fight and dig in because it's going to be a long haul.
End of thread
Don't get sick here. The insurance will bankrupt you.
I haven't actually heard of any of our pilots going bankrupt due to our healthcare cost.
Maybe not, but we did have one guy divorce his wife on his death bed to keep creditors from going after her for medical bills. True story. This is who we're working for. Wake up.
I did say that pay wasn't normal and happens 1 time per year for me. That is very achievable for any JB pilot after spending 22 months on property. So I will revise my statement for clarity. You will not be able to make a check this large in your first year at JB, however you will have the ability to do it before your second year is up. Everything else you said is spot on.

Wow. It's almost like I didn't say it isn't normal. I think you even quoted me saying it isn't normal. True getting sick completely screws this plan. However even with a week of vacation each year you can still make this kind of check every 14 months. For the 3rd or 4th time this isn't normal, but completely doable. Not sure why it is lame. Stating the good facts along side of the bad is a good thing. It's why people come to these sites. To get a few facts along with the massive amounts of BS and complaining.
Because it is a once a year occorance if you sell back all your vacation and sick time. Its not just abnormal, it is hyper-abnormal. And mostly because you didn't explain all of this upfront in your original post.
Hyper-abnormal. That's a new one. It happens once a year for me. It has happened one a year since I was on 2nd year pay at JB. It will most likely continue to happen for me once a year until I decide to upgrade. If that is hyper-abnormal than so be it I suppose.
Dude, just edit your original post to put the "abnormal" caveat in there. Otherwise it is very deceiving until you read later posts where you were called out.
Wouldn't it be nice to take a vacation? Even if you got sick?
