I DEMAND that all further conversations about PBS for ASA on this board be discussed with the information given in two scenarios. 1st being how what is being discussed will effect the top 30%. 2nd on how it will effect the bottom 30-40%. Because most of what people with good things to say about pbs is only how it will effect the top 30. OK continue.

good point. So I guess that the real question is, is it worth increasing the QOL for 30% of the pilot group while reducing it by 30% for the other side and reducing the pilot group by 10%?

Sorry guys but we've already had one pilot shortage, when you hire a lot of folks with 250 hours, it's a shortage. There was a pretty deep supply chain last time around, the next time will be different because the pipeline is dry. It may take a while, but we will back to this when the economy comes out of this next cycle.

There was no shortage of pilots then...only a shortage of pilots willing to accept the lifestyle & compensation most regional airlines offer.

A "lot" of 250hr pilots where hired, but the vast majority of them were at bottom-tier carriers and only because better-qualified pilots were seeking higher-paying positions within the industry.

do the furloughees get to vote on PBS? If not it is no wonder why they were furloughed and it would be a shame if we as a pilot group would throw them under the bus without representation.

You know, 2 furloughees went on the company public board asking mgmt for paycuts "to align our costs with other regionals" so they could stay on property. Could we at least throw those morons under the bus?

I agree. If you had the extra time why come to ASA when you could go to Skywest or any of the other regionals hiring back then. We have long upgrade times, we were in contract negotiations so moral was low, ATL was our only base, and we are owned by skywest.

Good news for you guys, finally. I hope this agreement expands in the future to get the furloughs back onboard.

So, one more step in the right direction. How about we start a conversation about merging before Inc. forces the issue?

Do you mean the 1400+ furloughed UAL pilots you all helped to put on the street?

Not when CABOTAGE begins....

-It is coming-count on it.
