It keeps getting better, ASA nonrev fees increase

Not only did the activation fee double, we have to pay additional for spouse/parents/travel companions.

What a great "benefit" -- not only is it nearly impossible to get a seat, we have to pay about as much as a ticket to even try!

2. Service award dinner "enhanced" by giving out trinkets from a catalog after 10 years of service instead of a banquet
3. Non-rev travel "enhanced" with quadruple+ what I am paying now

How about discontinuing these ridiculous ASA All-star posters and programs, followed by the endless newsletters from the GO outlining pointless news.

Stop talking to us like children. Don't put out an e-mail titled "ASA to enhance ESPP!" like it is good news and then tell us 3 paragraphs down that is is a reduction of benefits. Like last year "ASA negotiates deal to eliminate copay with UHC!!" and oh, by the way 3 paragraphs down, now you have a $20,000 deductable

I personally like how you can't pick and choose what family members to activate, or at least it seems that way.

My parents travel about once every two years. But I have no idea whenever they're traveling, so I guess I'll have to pay the full $217 or whatever it is.

What we are now going to see is the "new NWA" which will behave like an 800 lb gorilla and hose customers and employees equally.

Renew your benefits now... This will be your last time to enjoy them before its all over. We should raise hell through the union... These fees can be renegotiated.

Do not worry, none of the DAL guys can get on their jets either. I pay the fee so that I can book Family Fares. I have bought tickets everywhere I have gone for the last four years.
Once you fly on a paid ticket and see all of the non-revs that do not get on it will be very hard to go back.
Of course commuters cannot do this. But Family Fares are 20% off the lowest fare for the given itinerary. IE shop delta.com first.

I am sure that there will be fare increases coming to DAL peeps too. Plus, NWA did not have Buddy Pass riders. Hope we keep that too.

Yes, I am thankful to be employed. Yes, I recognize that Delta pays ASA to fly for them. Yes, I realize that our benefits are cheaper than full price. But, my God--- I just think it's crazy that we have to buy our "benefits".

It wasn't enough that they squeeze our abused passengers with hidden baggage fees invisible to Travelocity and Priceline. Now they're going after US?!

Heard on the Radio that Southwest is coming to Atl. Southwest is doing well in Denver and is planning the same in the ATL. I will support them a well run company with my hard earned cash

No KIDDING!

I'm so glad to have the looming threat of segment fees/per passenger/trip costs out from over my head!

We (the 5 of us) fly from ATL to ABQ 2-4 times a year. That would be about $2500/trip if we were paying for it.

The $212 annual fee I'll spend to be able to do it non-rev is no big deal.

I'm pretty sure for me, paying $212 once a year is going to be less than the total per mile/segment fees that would otherwise have been assessed.

Also, I'm really glad I'm able to go through life as a 'glass is half (or more) full' kind of guy.

Some of you folks seem really negative and discouraged.

I have a job with great benefits including extremely cheap air travel for me and my family, great medical benefits and a regular paycheck. My management does a great job and is responsive to my requests. I get terrific training and work under really fair work rules.

All this, and to top it off...I barely even have to go to work!

If you want Delta benefits, get a Delta job! You were once owned by Delta, then sold. Most of you were more than happy, well, be happy then. You can't have it both ways. If I work for coke and deliver product to Walmart, should I get a 15% discount on everything Walmart sells?
I agree you should be able to fly next to free on ASA or Skywest, but why all the hostility to your CUSTOMER, Delta Airlines, who pays you to carry their pax at a cheaper rate than Mainline?
