You are actually lucky. A friend of mine's judge actually didn't believe how little he made as a regional pilot. He had this idea that all pilots make 200k a year, and figured my friend was just covering his income. So, he imputed his income as if it were 150k a year when determining child support. The judge didn't believe me when I told him how little I make, but the pay stub proved it. My kid will get no child support.

Of course he fought it, but that was about 20k later in legal fees...
