Come on Dad. It is much different than two years ago (aka, "all of a sudden"). Where have YOU been? In the last year we hired 500 pilots, started a 200 million dollar expansion project, placed orders for 200 new aircraft - all while the ENTIRE aviation industry is crying UNCLE over fuel prices, salaries and inernal problems. (and we made record profits by the way)

I just think Uncle Warren has something up his sleve - that's all. Nothing magical, I just think the economy is going to get a whole lot better a whole lot sooner than most people think. Call me an optimst.

I've been here the whole time by the way.

I like your optimism and I think we are on the same page. This "all of the sudden" expansion has been happening for 7 years. The latest stuff is just a continuation. Since the attacks this place went from 450 pilots to over 2800 today. Yes, I agree there is a plan and I think it is much bigger than most realize, so you could say I am an optimist too.:)

They even hire crazy people who love mac's and toyotas!;) How's the sovy treatn you these days DAS! I'm 1 for 4 with the letters of rec..anybody want one to help improve my odds.

The Mac and the Toyota are what got me hired. This company looks for excellence. Mac and 'Yota are it!

Aside from the broken airplanes I can usually plan on flying 4 out of 6 days. I'll work the first four, sit at the hotel on day 5 when the cappy heads home, and then airline home on 6. I have yet to be paired with another 18 day guy/gal. I still haven't figured out what scheduling is doing.:confused:

How's the XL? Those things are thick as thieves at the airports.

I am glad I got the rec from you before they caught onto you. So I was the only one? Better tell GT not to ask you for one.

Having a blast in the beechjet sim... It's fun to fly and everyone keeps telling me I'm going to have a good life out west.

Did GT call you and tell you about Continental and layoffs? I hope I don't go 1 for 4!

I'd be applying to XO Jet and Citation Shares.

I have had 4 buddies of mine go to XO because they simply didn't hear from NJA in a timely way. Fine, it just proves we are behind the power curve and its going to cost us in quality F/O's.

2005 to 2007 did enough damage, people hired with a domicile choice in mind....now this!!!!!

NJA simply doesn't have its sh!t together regarding interviews and as a result we are losing some of the "cream of the crop"

If you have time to spare....NJA.....

If you need to meet the mortgage....screw NJA, go somewhere else.

Excuse me DO-28? We don’t have our sh#t together? Maybe we are flooded with over a thousand resumes a month. Since we are only highering about 30 a month, that means only about 50-100 people get an interview. Let’s see that means 1 in 10 gets a call. I'm sorry, but not everyone makes it. Our company doesn't owe anyone anything, if you make the cut good for you, if you don't, sorry. Just because you meet the mins, doesnt mean you get an instant interview. We are not an airline, having lots of flight time doesn’t get in the door either, we are looking for more than that.

And yes, if you didn't make the cut or haven't heard a thing, then going else where is the best idea. There are other good places to work.

DO-82, did you apply to NJA? If you did I would more than happy take your name down and submit it along with your flightinfo commit.

Allow me to translate (you get lots of practice with the idiots on this board):

"highering" = hiring
"commit" = comment

;)

They do seem to be everywhere these days..I'm getting a good mix of flying and sitting on my 7 and 7. They already got me going to toledo for my recurrent. Seems a little early but who cares when you get paid the same whether you fly or not!
