Not sure how a guy turning down interviews, and contemplating going through a CRJ course is relevant?

It's relevant because there will always be people willing to pay their way to get into an airline seat and there will always be airlines willing to take them. Regional airlines never were and are not intended to be career positions. You people need to realize that fact and just put in your time, upgrade as soon as you can get the heck out to make way for the next guy drooling to take your RJ seat.

Ok......thought that might have been what you were implying, just wasn't truely clear. But then it's been that way for almost 20 yrs. I remember guys back in early 90's coughing up 25k to get 121 current/qualified (when it meant something) and a type out of it. And these guys had 10,000 hours or thereabouts, maybe down to 5-6 but there were some high timers. Always will be around.

my sh1tty airline/pilot group is better than your sh1tty airline/pilot group. - god da@#it, would you guys please STFU.

Every airline, from Lakes to FDX, big/small, sked or nonsked, in the past present and whatever comes down the road has its good points and bad points. Everyone of these airlines will have good and bad times. For some they just haven't come yet. One day your head is on the chopping block the next you have the best contract by 2 cents and hour then it starts all over again.

It's kinda like trying to put a square peg into a round hole. Regional airlines are supposed to be a stepping stone to the majors. Pilots need to use them for what they are, leave and don't look back. Management has ZERO incentive to increase wages and benefits because they KNOW that litterally thousands of young CFI and academy grads are chomping at the bit to get on there and get the required 1000 PIC so they can advance to their goal major.

Your pay is the pay all other carriers are being forced to take concessions to. You haven't been forced to take concessions because you never had the balls to negotiate anything above a concessionary rate.

Are you mental?!?! Do you know how the process works?

Are you gonna write a letter to the NMB and tell them to put the proffer of arbitration out there or release us?

So tell us, "All knowing Master Negotiator", how to negotiate above our current(not concessionary) rate?

No one's being forced to our level.

What a schmuck!

Why are you ripping on TSA guys?

I believe it's called sarcasm.

I got that from the "?" at the end.

Good for you guys for having balls, but I've met several Air Wiskey guys commuting to the east cost from the west, none of them seemed very happy. I'm all for keeping the bar high, but their quality of life is screwed (those that didn't move). Cost of hotels, time lost commuting...hmmm, seems maybe they didn't think about all they were losing when they gave United the finger and refused consessions. Unfortunatly, consessions are a part of our industry right now with costs of fuel, bankruptcy, and such.

Sorry I couldn't be as stupid as your responses. I'll try harder.

Still no answer to solve the negotiations at ASA?

Thought so.

I just wish people would leave the AWAC specific chat to the AWAC specific webboard. No good ever comes from running your mouth about your own company on flightinfo.com

AMEN brother I say the same thing about our Guys

Huh? who gave who the finger.

Edit: I wonder when the industry will no longer be subsidized by pilot concessions

Didn't United come to whisky and tell them to reduce their costs, my understanding was that whisky "stood strong" and kissed United goodbye.

We did "Stand Strong" . And we Did "Take one for the Industry". A big strong kick to the Hairy ones, to try to put a stop to this ludicrous race to the bottom. It may have cost us some QOL, but our company can KISS our ASS if they think they are going to make all that money and not give us ours. We are in a painfull transition right now, but its for a bigger cause. How bout you pitch in, and start swinging away. Or should I be speaking to you in French? ....Ok here it goes... HHmm mmmm.....

Prendre le fait et la cause pour vous. Avoir quelque fierté. Protéger votre avenir et votre mode de vie. Grandir une paire de balles.

Dude, for the love of God be humble about it.

Its one thing to make a statement, but to shower accolades on our pilot group is going just a wee bit too far, donchathink? Were you on property prior to the transition to US?
