How many pages of this so far....?
( I am as guilty as the rest...)
One final thought:
If a certain individual is all about variety, we must wonder what other areas of " variety " they might explore.
To each his own. WHY try to extoll the virtues of one's beliefs over those of another?
Hitler and Door-Knocking-Bible Beaters are just two good examples...and we all love them...
Right?

So when are you going to upgrade Gen? It's time for you to come back to domestic flying.![]()
So when are you going to upgrade Gen? It's time for you to come back to domestic flying.![]()
HAHA, a 39 hour 6 day? You've got to be kidding me. Keep it up General, tell me more.
And for the record....that sounds like it sucks. Glad you enjoy a six friggen day trip.
Boasting about your 2015 payrate already? Man, that's pretty weak General. And all for larger RJs and less Profit Sharing. Anderson must be a very happy man.
Oh, so your buddy is at AA, not DL? Hmmmm. You didnt say that initially. AA currently isn't as strong as it used to be, and their route structure and bases are a bit different than DLs. So, please clarify next time.
Bye Bye---General Lee
My 757/767 payrate per your is a bit less than your hourly payrate (trip pay etc) currently, but the 767-400/A330/777/744 all pay more per hour than your 737s, before you add the international override and higher per diem. In 2015, the 757/767 surpasses your current 12th year 737 pay, and the way GK is talking lately, you may not go higher. Good luck with that.
Bye Bye---General Lee
...but the vast majority of your trips have 3 or more legs per day, with most having 4-5. You can't get around that, that is your business model, it's what YOU do. ....
Bye Bye---General Lee
Uh, go back and read it again. I DID say AA the first time. YOU are my only buddy at Delta, General!
Bubba
Where do you get this stuff? "Most have 4-5"? It appears that you are as uninformed about Southwest schedules as you are about everything else you blather on about. Makes me wonder if you even know anything about Delta.
Bubba
Again, all because you decided to sellout on other important items. Well done Sir!
[QUOTE Your culture at SWA has been smashed by your merger, treating your fellow pilots like DIRT. That may never be repaired. Good luck!
Bye Bye---General Lee
Ha ha ha. You sold out your brothers at AT. Can't wait for one of their guys to be your Captain. Good times. We got a raise and dumped RJs. You got hate and lost the family. Enjoy it! And thanks for downsizing their ATL operation for us.
Bye Bye---General Lee
I didn't sell anyone out, show me what I did. Your the one who sold bigger RJs and less profit sharing for your small raise.
You initially were against the deal, you first instinct was right.....then you decided to sell your future pilots out for more money.
Nice job.
You didn't sell out your brothers at AT? RIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT. Oh, then SWAPA must have? They sure didn't seem to stand up for them. I can understand the SLI thing, but the pay parity thing is ridiculous. Did you vote on anything towards the AT guys? Did you vote on the deal?
Bye Bye---General Lee
General,
You've clearly lost it. I'm sorry that I've rattled you so much. You see SWAPA is a different union than AAI ALPA. The only provided input from our side. ALPA was supposed to negotiate for the Airtran pilots. Both sides passed the current deal by around 83%. I wasn't sure if you heard that or not.
Negotiations? They are progessing well. I don't see any pay cuts in our future. And here's two really important points for you....Y
1- We won't reduce our 401k/Profit Sharing.
2- We don't allow any RJs, even larger ones like you DID!
You're a laughing stock GL. Very similar to Joe Biden. Nothing but a laugh line.
Sorry General, I re-read you post.
Your saying your happy about increased payrates in 2015, and that your not losing profit sharing until later and your selling that as a win? With more larger RJ's?
The 50s weren't profitable, and you guys let that leverage go and Anderson is laughing all the way to the bank. You GAVE him the out with the larger RJ replacements.
LEVERAGE LOST GENERAL. Never to return. You guys were completely played. Some of your own pilots came on here and GOT IT. You didn't.
Clint,
The larger widebodies, 744, 777, 764, A330, already pay more per hour than your 737s. By 2015, the 757/767 will also. You will still be negotiating then most likely.
The 50 seaters were still on lease well past 2015. That is what you fail to understand. They would have had to keep them and fix them up, because the regionals would not have just given them up. Instead, the get 1 larger RJ and turn in 3 old ones, which actually is a great deal for us. Over 140 fewer RJs total will be gone after this 3 year contract is over. Also, had the RJs stayed, there would have been too much capacity out there to add your 88 717s. It was a great deal, just like the 4 moldy quesadillas you ordered last night at the hotel bar in LBB. Your belch signals I'm correct, again.
So, the leverage was used, and mainline growth created. Someday you and your empty chair will figure that out.
Bye Bye---General Lee
Wait a minute General. I think I might see a glimmer of hope here.
Yes Delta would a have been on the hook for several million dollars on engine overhauls. But you guys said 'hey, don't worry about that for a few bucks extra per hour, you can trade those in for larger, new RJs.' Don't worry about that engine cost, we got you covered. Anderson is laughing is @ss off. You guys turned out to be stooges. Some got it, you didn't.
You keep harping on the -700 deferals, you do realize those will be now be more efficent 800 Maxs right? Probably 3 time for effecient than those old DC-9s, and the MDs most likely. Oh, and good luck with those 717 engine failures....your gonna need it. And enjoy the extra sim cost that goes along with it too. How many sim types is that now? ELEVEN?
Holy return on investment Batman. That sounds like trouble when you add in the un-funded pensions!
HAHA, a 39 hour 6 day? You've got to be kidding me. Keep it up General, tell me more.
And for the record....that sounds like it sucks. Glad you enjoy a six friggen day trip.
