I can hold the 88 now, but I don't want to fly that plane, never have. I did fly the 737 for awhile in the late 90s, and I can hold it in NYC now, but it will be awhile for ATL. So, when I can be a line holder in ATL on it , I'll bid it. We start getting 100 737-900ERs next year,(3 per month starting late Summer) which will help expedite it. With the huge retirement numbers we have coming up and the expansion with the 717s (88 from you and rumors of possibly 25 more from Boeing that were ex Mexicana Click) and 25 MD90s coming soon also, there will be a lot more domestic Captain slots coming. How about you? Oh, never mind....

We have plenty of those. Atlanta to Athens, back to JFK, back to Athens, and back to ATL. We had one ATL to Milan, back to JFK, back to Milan, and back to ATL. All 6 day trips, worth around 40 hours, with great layovers too, even Manhattan.

My 757/767 payrate per your is a bit less than your hourly payrate (trip pay etc) currently, but the 767-400/A330/777/744 all pay more per hour than your 737s, before you add the international override and higher per diem. In 2015, the 757/767 surpasses your current 12th year 737 pay, and the way GK is talking lately, you may not go higher. Good luck with that.

Anymore questions Red? Need more trip examples? A lot of INTL guys like 6 days trips worth 40 hours because they can commute twice a month and make 80 or more hours. The 777 has 3-4 day trips to Dubai and Johanesberg worth over 25 hours, with 2 legs total.

I like your misunderstanding of the profit sharing. First of all, that doesn't start until 2014 (all awarded on Valentines day each year), and of 2013 is very profitable, profit sharing actually increases over what we have today, from 15% to 20%. With the ancillary revenue almost 3 times what you make, there's a good chance it will happen.

Are you referring to posts on websites by anonymous children? The AT guys I have met flying the line or at the bar appear thrilled to be on the swa partition. Captains that have flown with ex-AT guys have all told me they are great guys, perform professionally, and are happy to be here. Please tell me you are not posting something as ridiculous as the above based on quotes from losers (on both sides) from FI.
When I fly through ATL, the AT pilots I meet in the terminal all smile and say hello. Not flipping me off telling me to go F myself.

And I began to see what now you must see, the economy not doing very well. I thought 20% raise in 3 years was a good deal, and it is. How are your contract talks going? Pretty bad I would assume. I have a feeling GK will be asking for money back, and your union will delay, delay, delay. Pushing back 30 738s is just one sign that your huge profitable quarters are now being affected by GAS PRICES, something your hedges used to cover for you. And did you say we sold out our future pilots? Huh? We just added 88 of your 717s, and cut 140+ RJs out of the picture, for good. We have caps on the number of RJs now, plus a ratio to keep it that way. That is FANTASTIC. We also added international codeshare protections that we didn't have before. And again, for you one more time, the profit sharing cuts don't go into effect if the profits are higher. Next year (Feb 14th, 2013) we still get the same profit sharing as we did this year. It's the following year, 2014, that could be affected, but with higher ancillary revenue and lower debt payments (when debt gets to $10 billion from $18 billion in 2013, we save an extra $500 million per year in interest), it is looking like profitable years will INCREASE the profit sharing, not reduce it. (15% up to 20%) Oh well, you try to slam, but it never pans out. Lou-zer.

You've clearly lost it. I'm sorry that I've rattled you so much. You see SWAPA is a different union than AAI ALPA. The only provided input from our side. ALPA was supposed to negotiate for the Airtran pilots. Both sides passed the current deal by around 83%. I wasn't sure if you heard that or not.

Negotiations? They are progessing well. I don't see any pay cuts in our future. And here's two really important points for you....

1- We won't reduce our 401k/Profit Sharing.

2- We don't allow any RJs, even larger ones like you DID!

First off, the AT guys were told that if the vote didn't go well, it could be an asset sale. Did you hear about that? Maybe you didn't? Your head is in the Texas sand, we all can see that. You are clueless.

Your negotiations are going well you say? Your union wants to keep them going for years, GK has hinted in the media that he wants to cut costs. You deferred 30 738s, are paying DL big bucks to take the 717s, and have brought back the "how can we save $5 a day program" that was started by Herb 20 years ago. You are even starting fare increases due to higher fuel, something you never used to do. Besides your bad Body Odor, it doesn't pass the smell test. Good luck with that.

You're right, there was savings in engine overhauls, but more that 300 50 seaters were on the hook well past 2015. The thing with 50 seaters, they go in and out of style depending on the price of oil. High oil, they are bad, low oil they are the best thing ever. Well, this agreement quickly gets rid of them, and caps 50, 70, and 76 seaters, plus ensures at least 88 717s that would not have been here had the 50 seaters stayed. That is a fact Clint. So, we get rid of 50 seaters sooner, over 140 fewer total RJs, and gain 88 717s from you, with 25 more possibly coming from the AZ desert if DL wants them (supposedly has first right of refusal for them with Boeing). So we grow, RJs shrink in total clearing ramps and airspace, and your company will help pay for all of that. Thanks! Yes, RJ engine overhauls not paid for, but 300 plus 50 seaters gone for good. Deal!

Do we have 11 types now? You know we do more than domestic flying, right? Certain routes around the world need certain planes. I bet the sims were thrown in the deal though, and $2.5 billion last year in ancillary revenue will easily pay for it all. Would SWA ever charge for bags? Your fat old Capt in the commercials says........wait for it......"SWA would NEVER do that....." (even though AT does....?). And if DL keeps making that much PER YEAR in ancillary revenue (UAL made $5.2 billon last year), the pension problem will be paid for.

Yeah it doesn't sound great. I like my 30hr 3day trips with about 14hrs of those 30 on rest watching TV, napping, reading, etc. One leg each way, mostly daylight flying and it's possible to basically stay on my home time zone if I want to. That's assuming I don't bid reserve and fly a trip or two every couple of months.

Really is tragic.
