I went out for some drinks with a couple guys working for Southwest when I was down there last month for training. One of them was a dispatcher and he said they really only hire dispatchers internally. You might want to try to get hired into a different position and then move up to dispatch at SWA.
 
All dispatch positions are filled internally.
If you come onboard into whatever job plan 1 year in the current position before you can apply to a diffferent dept.
Internal interviews occur once per year. Schedule varies depending on anticipated growth. Interviews are very competitive. Figure 50+ Internals all with ticket in hand. Might be 2 out of that fifty with any previous DX experience. about 8 of those get selected. If you can sacrifice for the short term the long term gain is worth it. Good luck!
