Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask how difficult is it to get SFO base with skywest airlines on the emb120. I heard it was going very junior due to upgrade and movement on the 175 and CRJ in IAH. How is reserve at SFO, do you hit your guarantee, how many days off guarantee, is it 12. How much flying on reserve at sfo, Is the upgrade faster on the emb120 and is the pay the same or lower on the emb120. Is it two hour notice to show for a trip on reserve, is there a lot of ready or hot reserve at the airport. How are the pairings, is it many day trips and back on reserve. Or is it like 4 on 3 off and how long would it take to hold a line at sfo on the 120.

I live in SFO and i don't want to commute and that why i like skywest for its SFO base. anyone working for skywest and based in SFO, any info would greatly be appreciated.

Thank you

Someone hired Nov of 2013 just got awarded SFO EMB FO. Also SFO is turning into a junior RJ Captain base.... As far as west of thr rockies goes....

Junior Capt in SFO
CRJ 25xxx early 06 hire
EMB 32xxx. Mid 07 hire

Junior F/O in SFO
CRJ 43xxx late 12 hire
EMB 36xxx early 09 hire

You will not break guarantee, as of today, who knows in the future. If you base your pay estimate on 75.00 hrs, you will have your expectations met. You WILL hate reserve.

^ if you live in base you won't "hate reserve"... I bid reserve in base and tolerate it, because its better then 4 day trips over the weekend...with 5am reports and midnight release...

Friend,

If it is your dream and you have to be in SFO, go for it. Don't listen to PBR, he is a lifer who wants people not to show up, and is willing to ruin anyone's dream for his own selfish gain. We all want Regional pilots to make more, and if they can't, then hopefully they move up to higher paying jobs eventually as retirements increase. If you have to get back into aviation and want to fly at home, then your plan is solid. Go for it. It might be tough and there may be shrinking fleets, but you do have a shot to move on to better eventually.

Sorry booger boy, you cannot even keep your serial fantasy theories straight, you might need another med adjustment. Since you have never been an airline nor any real pilot your arguments are null and void, and are in fact quite delusional.

Hey, you're still a lifer without a plan.... That is undeniable. You and Freeturd will hold hands until the end.

Whatever Mercyful, err, Jenny. One be would be would be wise NOT to listen to Jenny's BS on FI, read it for amusement yes, but not for anything else! Such a putz!

Como on booger boy, you got better than that! With all the time you spend in that darkened basement "cockpit" alternating between F/I, porn and the Food Channel, you can generate better than this, or we're you late for your therapy session, again?

I live in base, and did multiple years on reserve and hold a line. The worst that reserve has to offer only occurs after the phone rings with a 435 area code attached and a Dixie College dropout on the other end who is currently experiencing "that time of the month" or menopause....
I gain nothing or lose nothing if you come here, reserve at SKYW is not like reserve anywhere else. When your phone rings and your schedule shows TDY to MSP for 5 days of reserve, where you sit in cheap hotel rooms far away from any amenities, you will question your choice to return to the regional industry.
For the record I have sat reserve as a F/O and CA, and currently hold a decent line. The best trip I can have is where I don't have to talk to SGU for any reason. Caveat Emptor
