Save the delta airlines versus delta regionals stuff to other threads. I still want to hear about independence air.

Independence is bliss...

I'll start with flight loads: they are looking good. Today we had 35/49/50; for the second week, I'd say that is impresive. Although many of the customers are deeply discounted friends and family promotion tickets, word of mouth is the best advertising. Many, many compliments from passengers like: "you guys DO get it." and "great service, not the ACA UAX we're used to." Responses like that. They love our new plush leather seats, functional and informative boarding areas and snack table when weather delays make restless travelers pissy.

What else? The operation is smooth and improving daily. Normal hiccups from new procedures and equipment; but, our 15 years of experience shows. For 14.5 years we peddled pax as cheaply and quickly as possible under the UAX banner winning no customer service awards. We worked for our customer, the evil empire. and that is whom we were pleasing. It was all about banking the $3500 / departure. Now, any naysayers about the old ACA not being able to put our money where our mouth is have been silenced and impressed.

I'm impressed. With UAL and Bain, it was stay in an abusive relationship, wither as work was sent to the lowest bidder and then die a slow agonizing death. Now, we fly OUR customers. We make new customers repeat Independence customers. We work for ourselves at it feels refreshing.

When the busses arrive, things will be ramped up full steam ahead and we'll be offering many more reasons for customers to fly us. We are not just a lowfare, LCC, cattle car. Independence is a premium airline offering service unsurpassed charging fair prices. Our brand will set us apart from the others and customers will respond to the "I" logo like people respond to Starbucks coffee willing to pay $5 bucks for sludge.

General Lee vbmenu_register("postmenu_361399", true);

Well Hello MR.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so sick and tired of hearing how much better you MAINLINE PIECES of .... ARE. I have worked at two regional companies owned by US Airways and Delta, and we work 15 hour days flying 6 legs a day, and you know what, most of YOU that come here quit within 6 months because you can't handle flying 98 hours and being off 12 days a month. We tried to join your pilot group with you before Sept. 11 and you all laughed at our face. Now you are begging for our FO position. Well just let you know, the people that YOU sent over, don't stay. They can't handle the REAL WORLD were they have to work. So trust me, I would love to have your jobs making $300,000 a year and only working 9 days a month, but it is over. Save your self General Lee.

RLT
Judging by General Lee's profile, I see he flew the Brasillia. I don't think he flew that for mainline. I'm sure he put in a few 7 leg, 14 hour days on that bird. So I think he and ALOT of pilots at mainline have put in a fair share of hard work.
Stop being a bleeding heart and grow up. You are not alone, there are a whole lot of us that work just as hard as you.
