Ahhhh.....So what you are saying is that it was prudent for USAPA to nearly outspend its entire budget on the DOH Hail Mary (not to mention the money pi$$ed away on the 2x loss of the RICO persecution), and not put a penny into the possible thought of a merger fund? Excellent.

I really hope we don't merge because if we do I'll be back on the street for a year or three. I hope Seeham will finally show us the bills we are requesting. Why is he hiding them? I think when we started down this road (to perdition!) no one ever thought it would take this long or be this expensive. I can't say that I fully understand the RICO thing but ya I'm glad we fought back. Seriously would you sit back and do nothing if I called your cell phone non stop for a few days and sent my poo to you?

Only a few were actually accused of making multiple phone calls to the USAPA (800) number. There either was NO POO, or according to Scott Theuer the POO is in an undisclosed location (in a mason jar on Funk & Wagnalls porch?). Either way, the alleged POO never showed up.

The rest of the Cactus 18 RICO (2x failed litigation, with PREJUDICE), comprised of people that simply made a post on a web board, or some other such NONSENSE.

USAPA's birth came from the attempt to evade a final and binding seniority arbitration. USAPA had continued to exclude, harass, and persecute as many west pilots in the hope that we will bend to their will. NO GOING TO HAPPEN.

Bradford and the "down by the river" gang were sold a bill of goods from one lawyer that promised a SLAM DUNK. Everyone that employs a lawyer should RUN AWAY from any attorney that promises the moon....because all you will end up with is stinky cheese. You believed Seham the first time, why not now for the purposes of his billing? Why did Cleary hire another law firm for the BS NYC Status Quo law suit? Could it be because Seham told him it was a FOOLS ERRAND? I guess we'll know soon, as this is a democratic and transparent union...right?

Be no POO, still ain't no POO. I'm thinking that the only POO is lodged firmly between el Presidente's ears, IMHO.

Fools errand? Are you implying that the company is abiding by the RLA and negotiating in good faith? We have hundreds of grievances that have not been heard and you think the company is abiding by the RLA? Come on CB I know we have some real big disagreements here about the nic but this is something we should agree upon. They aren't playing by the rules. Once again would you really sit by and do nothing when the company doesn't show up for negotiations that are scheduled or shows up "unprepared" for negotiations? I hope not. We probably wont win this suit but are you saying we should do nothing? Remember the senority is but ONE section of a thick contract (section 22 I think). Why wont they at least want to talk about some other sections? Repeating "Kirby proposal" over and over again is not negotiating in good faith.

Charlie,

Of course they aren't negotiating in good faith. Why would they? We have no leverage. We squandered it all so far. You want them to show up to the table "prepared" and negotiating in good faith? Only one thing will cause that -- a real union. We need to make USAPA into what it was meant to be -- an honest, open, transparent, independent union. We need a unified pilot group -- not one that is fragmented into countless camps (ALPA, Cleary, Compass Coalition, East, West, etc). Then we need to get control of our spending. Let's get out of debt and build up a war-chest. When we stop fighting each other and pose a credible "threat," management will take us seriously.

That starts with cleaning house in next month's elections. Then it takes giving the BPR a bigger role in restaffing the committees with the best people for the jobs (not just friends, cronies, and allies). I firmly believe that as we work together as professionals, slowly the pilot group will come together as well. Until then, we're all just pissing into the wind (or more realistically, pissing on an electric fence, since we're not just getting dirty, we're getting burned).

Hey Andy,

word is you paid for your job when you got hired by Continental Express in the 90's. Is that true?

M

Yea Andy how about it? Want to share with us how much work you put into getting to the point where you think you have the ability to handle the leadership position in charge of all the pilots after you have only been here what two years!

All this celebration of supposed failures is getting old and seems to be a hollow excitement. Never can get enough "bad news" to make you folks satisfied.

How about just enjoying flying and take another look out of the window for a change.

Yes, it is true. It was in 1997. Any more questions?

Well, by your logic (DOH being the "Gold Standard" and all), it's actually four years. And, since you and MCDOO rate being furloughed as "the ultimate sacrifice" one can make for their company, I guess that means I worked hard like you...

Or is what you're saying that since I'm not 50, haven't been furloughed 5 times, and haven't sat in the right seat for 20+ years I can't lead this group? The sad part is, even if I get elected and fail at every thing I try, I won't be any worse than what we have now. How sad is that??? And, even if I lose, at least I tried to make things better rather than sit around like some crack-pipe warrior hiding behind a screen name throwing rocks blaming everyone else for my own stupid decisions.

If you're so sure of your beliefs and position why is it that you've been afraid to ever sign your name to any posts? But what do I know, next you'll tell me I'm just some lazy, PFT, kid that ought to go home, accept the screwing from the senior guys that "know what's best".......
