It has been a little over five weeks since the IBT completed their raid/hostile takeover of another functioning pilot's union at Frontier Airlines.

One would think, considering how badly the IBT wanted to be the bargaining representative, they would have a plan to put in place on day ONE. Sadly, this was not the case.

What have they accomplished since June 28th?

Number of letters mailed to all Frontier pilots during the representation election? Four


Number of letters mailed to all Frontier pilots since the election? One, a folder explaining where to send your dues check.

Number of times the IBT robo-called all Frontier pilots during the election? Three, including a call from Hoffa himself ("there are 1.4 million teamsters!")

Number of times the IBT has called any Frontier pilot since the election? ZERO

Number of times the Local 357 Exco has met with MKE based Frontier pilots? ZERO

Number of times anyone from the Airline Division has taken the time to meet MKE based Frontier pilots? ZERO

Number of times the Local 357 Exco has met with DEN based Frontier pilots? ZERO


Number of times anyone from the Airline Division has taken the time to meet DEN based Frontier pilots? ZERO

Number of letters demanding FAPA turn over all of their assets to the IBT? 2

Number of FAPA volunteers that have been "fired" by the IBT? 5, 6? I have lost count

Number of FAPA attorneys that have been "fired" by the IBT? 2

Number of arbitrations won since June 28th? 1* (*The IBT reallized that they could not win the case and they were concerned about a DFR lawsuit, so they rehired the two FAPA attorneys a few days after they fired them. Brilliant!)

Number of SBA's missed by the IBT? 1

I have heard a lot of anecdotal evidence regarding the IBT and their lack of ability, but this is amazing.

You never get a second chance to make a first impression, and you guys completely blew it.

Now today we have another graphic display of IBT incompetance.

The IBT sues Frontier, RAH, and FAPA regarding LOA 67. No one has actually read the lawsuit because the IBT did not send it to the people that they just sued.

Here are the best parts, or maybe the worst parts.

Not one FAPA pilot has joined the IBT. I am pretty sure that suing the folks that you are asking to pay you membership dues is a bad idea. Well played!

It gets better....

The IBT is meeting with the company for the very first time NEXT WEEK to discuss the implementation of the Eichen award. You just sued the company, demanding that they reverse an LOA that initiated the restructuring of Frontier, an LOA that afforded them over $120 million in cost savings.

If LOA 67 goes away, GECAS goes away. Expedia goes away. The FA TA goes away. The $70 million liquidity goes away.

When all of these pieces fall apart, the brand "goes away". When the brand goes away, 29 RJ's go away. When the brand goes away, the Eichen award goes away. Well played!

I am sure the Company is going to be very excited to negotiate a favorable implementation next week after you attempted to destroy their attempts to recoup the shareholders $200 million dollar investment in Frontier and Midwest. Great timing!

In summary, if there were an Olympic event for completely failing in every metric over the shortest period of time, the IBT international would win Gold, the IBT Airline Division would win Silver, and the Local 357 would win bronze.

I figured you guys would fall on your face within six months. You failed worse than I ever could have imagined, in less than six weeks.

Wow.

So when do the Republic pilots senior to the Frontier pilots get to fly as Airbus captains? I understand the no bump and flush, but the Republic captains should be the highest guys on the list not flying Airbuses.

So China clipper it appears you have a great disdain for middle class american workers, why is that. Do you feel far supperior to them because you think they are all to stupid to understand the "intellectual discourse and savvy negotiating strategery necessary for Pilot Negotiations" And how did you come to the belief that you are supperior to all the thousands of members of the Teamsters union?
And why the hatred towards Italians i dont understand how mocking their speech pattern and calling them guido's helps your cause. Just makes you look like an ass.
Please stop your assault on America's middle class workers, stop mocking Italians, keep the name calling out of it and and try and maintain that professionalism that Frontier Pilots claim to possess.

I think its pretty funny, besides haven't "utes" ever seen Jersey Shore, My Cousin Vinny, Godfather, Casino, etc. I think its more of a Brooklyn/NYC/NJ thing anyway, not just an Italian-American thing.

You guys need to lighten up. The IBT has always had implied affiliation with the mob. We are just playing off of those affiliations.

"Majority opposition does not defeat the duty of fair representation; the duty exists to restrain the majority"

The above quote originates from a recent DFR lawsuit. The IBT believes that the interest of the majority (2000 RAH pilots) trumps the need to represent the minority (700 Frontier pilots, 400 Midwest pilots, 150 Lynx pilots).

The IBT's most recent hostile action, suing their new members (Frontier pilots) has crossed the line so far into DFR territory that it is no longer a question of"if", only a question of "when".

Ironically, the lawsuit has created significant collateral damage. I would not be surprised if the IBT Airline Division ( the apparent "bad cop" in this drama) and the Local 357 (good cop) end up being sued by their own "majority" membership.

The courts have already agreed, "the duty exists to restrain the majority".

I believe it would be a mistatement to say i am the biggest idiot that has walked the earth...because there is no way to quantify that statement.
But at least this time you have not insulted american middle class workers or an entire race.

IBT Imflicts damage on it's own membership

The IBT sues it's own membership, and according to the recently released RJET 10q they have already caused harm.

"If we are not successful and the restructuring agreement is declared null and void, Frontier would lose approximately $9 million to $10 million in cost savings per year over each of the next five years, which may have a material adverse effect on our business, financial condition or results of operations."

This is the first time in history that a "pilots" union has sued it's employer and it's own membership in an effort to unwind an LOA that was legally ratified under the RLA.

Meanwhile, a $70 million dollar liquidity initiative has been placed on hold, the all important negotiations for "Integration agreement" have been cancelled, and when this is all over the IBT will have to pay for everyone's attorneys.

RAH is represented by Ford and Harrison. Expensive.

FAPA Invest has hired Faegre and Benson. Really really expensive.

This will easily cost the IBT $75-100k.

How do the RAH pilots feel about paying a special assessment for your section 6 contract negotiations (have any sections TA'd yet, just one?) when your own union is filing frivolous lawsuits that will eventually be paid with your regular dues? This is reckless behavior on the part of the IBT. I still haven't met ONE IBT rep at my domicile, i haven't received ONE phone call since the election, and the only mail from the IBT has been an invoice for my dues. Are you guys for real?

Here is the kicker. After the IBT lawsuit has been stopped, the stage has been set for the mother of all DFR lawsuits.

You just sued to repeal an LOA that ratified by almost 90%, and 90% of the pilot group participated in the vote! What in the he11 were you thinking?

I know, I know, you were thinking about "the majority" again.

It's gonna cost you huge.
