Sounds to me to be more of a contractual problem. UPS is minting money and the best you could get in negotiations is that POS for "airlining" out of your base. Next time negotiate better, and don't blame SWA, blame your Union if they didn't get a better stipend in the contract.

Blah blah blah blah

Another one that doesn't see the big picture.

I don't mind jumpseating but I don't want to ruffle any feathers by doing so since the company does buy you a ticket. Why don't you read the thread first?

Everyone has read the thread and can tell what a biotch with a drinking problem you can be.

Your the only one that can't see, again, what an irrational view you have on just about everything you bring up.

Why don't you find something more constructive to do than be a troll on this board.

If you're married to a woman, or have lived with one for a duration of time you'll figure out soon that this is normal.

I don't think he's married.....the prik is drowning in the big kool aid pool

I get the big picture now. You want to raise ticket prices on the small business traveler, folks taking their kids to see grandma and maybe couples that don’t have the opportunity to live wherever they want because they have free air travel benefits. What you are suggesting is socialism—shift the financial burden to someone else, so that you can get what you want (at no cost to you, I might add)

Just take the jumpseat (like thousands of your fellow pilots that commute), save your company some money (oh, you don’t worry about that—just raise prices on shipping via brown, which I don’t hear too many on this board complaining about) and spare us your whining.

Another big picture I get is you really don’t understand the reason for SWA’s existence. We already make plenty of money, raising prices just because we can, would be classified as greedy. The overall health of the economy, along with supply & demand drive the aviation market pricing, simple economics. Take a class, and then get back to us on your weak position.

Ok.....I will try to explain because everyone seems to think I "can't find a seat out of ONT". I DON'T LIVE IN ONT. I AM BASED IN ONT. I DON'T LIVE IN A CITY SERVED BY SWA! Therefore, since all my commercial DHs are scheduled out of ONT (a city served by SWA) and a lot of my trips start in cities served by SWA, the company index is so low (this is based on the walk up refundable fare) that I can't get a flight out of where I live (since it is not served by SWA) for under the index. Therefore, I am forced to j/s to get to work instead of using a positive space ticket.

1. No, I am not going to pay the difference because the difference is usually $300-$500!
Why would SWA revenue manegment care about this?

2. I can't move to ONT because then my fiancee would have to commute and it would not be fair to him.

And I would care because ....

3. MY POINT IS: If SWA fares were up WHERE THEY SHOULD BE, I would not have this problem.

Where should the fares be? High enough to pay our bills? High enough to make a profit? High enough to make you happy?

4. No, contrary to popular belief....it is not "all about me", it's about the frigging fares being so low that it's ridiculous. You SWAers can bash me all you want but the fact of the matter is is that if your company raised fares, SWA could make more money, you all could be paid better too! So, stop with the "capt. megadeth posted a SWA bash thread so we all have to get our panties in a bunch....oh no!" AND LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE!

Do you mean the big picture of how this affects you? Or do I really have to explain that when tickets are cheap we sell more of them?

5. Vetterracer.....once again....missed my point completely.

Perhaps if you used english or tried not to whine so much we'd understand you.

6. If you don't work for SWA, I don't think you should be bashing me either....everyone knows if SWA raised fares, other airlines could too and maybe your airlines would make more money.

7. FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME! I AM NOT BITTER THAT I DIDN'T GET HIRED BY SWA! I don't think I could handle all the koolaid....I would drown. :D I have many many reasons for my disdain and this is just another one of the many.

Seriously, this may be the funniest thing on the internet right now - do a search of your old posts. You are a bitter hag and I praise god, the jewish god and Tom Cruise that I'll never sit next to you.

8. FlyBoeingJets gets it.....why don't all of you? (I love you too man!)

Ok,
I've poured through this 5 pages of junk to find out that:
- Capt Death is bitter enough to start a thread dedicated to her disdain of SWA.
- Doesn't understand yield manegment (me neither, but at least I know what I don't know)
- Fails to understand the REAL rock music requires a single coil pickup, and that over drive is a weak excuse for true talent.
- I need another beer (or six)
