Actually, we did, and I have the cancelled checks to prove it. The Comair MEC reversed their regrettable stance, and the company did indeed hire some furloughees. Judging by this thread, bet we cannot count on that from you.

I'm glad that you consider the CMR MEC's initial decision to support the requirement to force furloughed pilots to resign their seniority numbers as regrettable. It's too bad it took the CMR pilots 3 years to reverse their decision to kick furloughed pilots in the teeth when their down and then only to do that when recalls had started at DAL and the CMR pilots saw an opportunity to get more 70 seats as a result. Maybe the DAL pilots will do the same for CMR pilots in about three years.

We all know nobody will fly struck work (right?), but what about the flying that will (is) being replaced while the judge blocks a strike? Its the exact same thing, and yet we'll be servicing 8 of our very own 70's flown by ASA pilots starting next month.

Sounds like you might have a gripe with the ASA pilots, what does that have to do with us supporting you, the same support you gave to our furloughees?

The judge has the ability to fine ALPA if the Comair pilots go on strike, but he doesn't have the ability to define what "struck work" is. If the Comair pilots are forced to not strike, any flying currently being flown by Comair should be declared "struck work" if it is transferred.

With that statement, you should read up on the RLA!

"Struck work" is defined by the union, not the judge, and should be announced post haste after an injunction. When (if) the company negotiates with the pilots, then we'll remove the "struck work" title.

That will help the Comair pilots.

I don't wish any cmr pilots bad will, I just won't give them my support. They'll get the same from me as our furloughees got from them!

Cancelled checks for what?? The only checks written out were for assessment for you 89 day strike! The favor we got in return was a kick in the nads, followed by a use of our furloughees as hostage to relax our scope clause. If that's the check, you better CHECK your facts!

They were for the Delta Pilot Emergency Relief Fund established by the Delta MEC. As a longtime board reader, I'm sure you'll recall that it was posted here several times. Don't recall anybody having any personal problems with the idea, you know, citing some preceived slight like say, an Eastern pilot might have.

Interesting that you bring up the 70 seat issue. You hammer the economics of the 50 and then try and sieze the 70 which were on order well before the sellout, er, buyout. Your own statements link seniority and the 70 seater, just who do you think the Delta MEC had in mind to fly them?

As for waiting three years, it's going to be a lot longer than that. I believe that our strike in 2001 pretty much established a No Hire policy by Delta. Oh yes, one or two pilots already in the pipeline or on alternating leap years might get through but I wouldn't advise anyone to be holding their breath. It is not had to imagine what will be waiting for them on the other end. Poking Delta pilots in the eye (or anywhere else) sure was not a smart idea if that was the intention.

Greenslipping is a contractural right, rights that were sought out by your group to defraud my group from, but you already knew that, I'm sure! Besides, its a lot less than the amount sought after from your pathetic "self serving" lawsuit! But we've come to expect nothing less from cmr pilots, let alone rjdc pukes like you!

To all the intelligent posters, I enjoy reading your opinions. To all of the Delta/Comair/ASA guys I fully support you. But those of you sniping at each other....please...STFU. Management loves this and although the temptation is always there to bash, be professional and refrain. Every airline on this board could be bashed for one reason or another but lets stand together d@mn it.

Management will impose a substandard contract on Comair in a few days. I have received all of DW's messeges via email. So what the F$#K are we going to do about it? What is DW or JD. Lawson going to do about it?

Will DW in the last few days as our union president take the same stance that Prader will????

Prader would have the Comair guys walk off the line and tell management to "just grieve it". Why? Cause we can afford it. Would we lose the lawsuit? Sure. But the point would be proven. The man has said this....and to my face. And if management thinks they can get away with this without any consequences, will be sadly mistaken.

ALPA is in a GREAT financial situation. In fact, better than it has been since the mid 80's. Our union could easily afford to support the Comair pilots if they choose to walk off the line in a few days. I just hope our ALPA leadership supports this action.

Management also knows this is the best time to pull off underhanded stunts. During the holiday season most people don't have the tendency to get "fired up".

I will gladly pay into a fund to support the Comair Pilots.

ALPA is far from perfect, but if you ever got off your A@@ to volunteer you might know enough to give a rational opinion.

But given your response, I'm guessing you know very little of the organization you bash on.

I will continue to have money from each of my paychecks taken out for ALPA-PAC.
