Nearly every DCI carrier is either in contract negotiations currently, or will be soon. I'd ask that you do what you can to negotiate a better contract than what will be forced upon Comair.

.

Don't all contracts now including Mesa have a better contract that that crap forced on to you by MNGT and that slime of a judge?

(100% serious response, no flame intended)

Time will tell. The final numbers are not out yet. There are questions remaining about how much, if any, restoration of longevity occurs.

Perhaps the most bitter part of this whole deal is the company being granted the ability to punish everyone who has worked for Comair for more than two years by permanently discrediting them for two years of service.

Buy a gun and a case of boose. Mix until blended. Enjoy!

Surely everyone knows by now that management got Comair's contract tossed at the bankruptcy Court......

Also, management wants to get injunctive relief to stop a strike.

........

If we set up some sort of fund, let me be the first at ASA to write a personal check to support these pilots. ~~~^~~~

Their contract got tossed out because unfortunately the bankruptcy code allows it.

They will probably be prevented from seeking self help because unfortunatley the courts have ruled that the RLA prevents it under these circumstances.

So you want to contribute to a fund to help. That's great. How about contributing to a fund that lobbies congress to write laws that strengthen collective bargaining and strengthen labors right to strike. Support ALPA-PAC.

Welcome to the regional job of tomorrow. Whoever is on top is knocked down. Nothing we can do fins - hold your money cause you are probably next. After Comair is whipped into submission or worse - the next in line will be the next highest rate. Then the next and so on. Noone got upset when ACA went away - or Mesaba, or COeX lost there planes - or the few we lost until recently. Juat remember - same national union.

Comair was just our sister - so watching her get 'violated' by her father owner is sad.

Amen!

That may have started already.

...Just read that we (ASA) are getting 8 70s...and the bulletin said something about them being flown down from CVG. ugh...are these comair birds?

You won't be getting them if nobody flys them in from CVG. Is there enough solidarity to nip this, or will people say, "This stinks, but what can you do? "

I thought you were a big union guy? Why aren't you going to support them? You don't mind taking their airplanes I guess. Some union supporter you are!

Hey Drivel, f*#k-off! If you knew what you're even talking about I'd explain it to you. Go sit under BL's desk and do what you do best, suck.

Sorry I don't sit under anyone's desk. Not BL's, not SH's, not DW's, and not DN's. Why aren't you going to support your fellow union brothers at CMR. Tell us o'great union man!
