I'm flying with people right now that can't even remember what city we are in or where we are going.
How about the most Famous Mesa Approach Brief-------
On approach to ROA at Night and Gusty winds to 33. Female Captain to Female First Officer "Go Around is No Option".
Was this an emergency? Or a low fuel situation perhaps?
I know one regional airline (that operates the CRJ200) requires a minimum of 450 lbs of fuel in each wing for a go around. In other words if you got less than 900 lbs fuel total, go around won't be an option.
from that link said:The captain briefed that a go-around was not an option due to hills on the other side of the runway.
well it was the same crew that brought it in that took it back out, right?
What are they? Blind?
I'm flying with people right now that can't even remember what city we are in or where we are going. And as far as ILS approaches go, forget it! Let alone any non precision app. I had to stop and slap myself only to realize that I wasn't dreaming, I am flying with idiots! Jumpseaters beware!
Worse part, upgrade in 2 years. Imagine that guy and his new fo going to Charlie-West.
Yikes.
Did you ever see the pictures of the hard landing in Toronto, by Jazz?
They shoved the wheels on the CRJ through the wings and the flaps, which then FOD'ed out the engines. They somehow taxied off the runway. I don't have a place to host the photos.
They got two cranes and had to load it on a flatbed truck to get it to the hanger.
