You have to allow competition on some level. NWA got it right with Spirit and Sun Country. DAL got it wrong with AAI. We let them get to big.
 
No, seriously.... If NWA mgmt is so fiercely defensive of it's hubs, then why the tolerance of these outfits???

Your kidding right? Have you looked at the shape of Sun Country in Msp and especially Spirit which almost ceases to exist in DTW?
Beating them down but not completely out is sometimes better, don't open the door for more, just keep them in check. Which as of right now is exactly what is happening.

You should check to see the hand NWA had in ATA, Independence and Midwest. I for one don't know of another Major that does a better job of protecting its turf.
 
Totally agree. I can see the start of that here in good old ATL too. Summer is going to be fun.
