congrats!! I sweated it for four days myself and know the feeling.

You'll enjoy training. It's truly a low pressure envrionment and very professional.

They give you a brochure in class for a short term plan, but it is not affiliated to CAL . You can find insurance fairly cheap if you have high deductibles, but don't plan on any maternity benefits. Doh!

Which Comes First???

For CAL, do you do the interview or the SIM first? Just wondering...thanks!

It depends. If you interview in EWR or CLE, you will have the panel interview first. If that is successful, you go to IAH for the sim. If you interview in IAH, the sim can come first, and the panel interview will happen later that day whether or not you pass the sim ride.

Mamba,

Congrats on the job, see ya on the line.

No, there is no insurance the first six months. (hopefully that will be changed in the next contract :)
Yes there is coverage that CAL will give you info about to cover you till you pick up CAL coverage.
Good luck

Is this temporary insurance in the brochure any better (or worse) than what you'd find on an internet search, or should you have insurance lined up (eg: COBRA) before you begin class?

Thanks.
