I got an e-mail the other day with 12 questions on it asking me everything from violations, to failed check rides, to which interview date I wanted. How long does it usually take for them to confirm an interview date? Will a failed check ride hurt me on that?

I got that email also. From the time I sent in my resume and online application it was about 2 weeks until I got that email, now it's been almost a month! I requested the May 30th interview date and it's now May 24th with no response. I sure hope they don't call on the 28th or 29th! Don't think I could make it without some proper prior planning.

I haven't had a failed check ride, so I can't comment on that. I think my downfall was my answer to question #1 which was "We're currently hiring people who can start training within 3 weeks of their interview date. Can you do this?" I had to answer no because I plainly put on my resume that I wasn't available until July and they only offered me May interview dates! So I took the latest one thinking that I would be around 4 to 5 weeks to start training.

Oh well, maybe I'll try again in a couple months.

For those of you with XJT questions.. www.expressjetpilots.com

Oh and a failed check ride is no biggie, if you take responsibility for it.

I just got the same email today...hope it doesn't take too long to hear back from them but I'm sure they are sending out that same email to hundreds of guys, just to narrow down the selection process mabye? Someone that has recently been through the process would have a better idea.....

I tried there, but it seems like it takes a little longer to get responses on there. That is why I posted it up on here

I got the same email also. I asked two of my friends that work for expressjet, they both got an interview date the day after they replied with the 12 questions.

At the current time all lower time ATP guys are getting put on the back burner. They get back to you quicker if you have more time unfortunately. Just hang in there you'll get a call.

What if you are getting furloughed from an airline what would you say the priority is there?

Lets hope so. I've updated my resume on the new system over there. Hopefully I hear back.

It took me 2 weeks to hear back. I had around 850/150. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Im checking my e-mail every 5 minutes though.

What time did you get your e-mail yesterday?

Thats what I figured but one of my friends at xjt said I should try again since the system swap just to be sure.

I would assume though that airline guys and pre-airlines guys would have two seperate piles.

If you look on aviation interviews, most of the people on there have around 800TT.
