In not farmiliar with the new application. I got mine in a few days before it switched over. Did the new assesment from ask you to pick from 1 of 4 dates for an interview? Im wondering how they are filtering people out with this. I guess its going to be a long holiday weekend before I find anything out.

Same here, I signed up under the new system and never got an assesment thing, I did get the 12 question email with the 4 dates to pick from for an interview.

No offence to your friend but I've been told that "overqualified" translates into "he thinks he is better than us."

But maybe thats just one companies interpretation.
Yeah, I considered that. It's a possibity. In any case, just thought I'd post the info for the group's consideration.

Pilot 754,

Did you send XJET a letter of rec for MESA...don't think they will like that too much!!

Pilot 754,

Thank you for the most amazing post ever on flightinfo. I have no reason to ever read flightinfo again because I know nothing will ever top that.

I will however continue to read flight info out of boredom.

Wow...my answers were an 8th the length of those....infact, im kinda freaked out by those responses.

3. Are you currently working? If so where? What is your position?

Yes. I am currently working. Location of Flight instruction (Part 61) is at my local airport (KVNY, Van Nuys Airport) in Los Angeles, CA. My position is CFI (Flight Instructor) providing donated flight instruction to this group and in addition to this I am currently holding title as President, Director of MX. I work under the supervision of an A&P / IA. From working on 100hr. to an annual inspection amongst other things is a great experience. Since its foundation in 1951, Kitty Hawk Squadron 3 (Boy Scouts of America; Aviation Air Explorer Scout Post 3) has trained hundreds of young men and women to fly. If you are between the ages of 14 and 21, you are eligible to participate in this exciting program (www.squadron3.com ). Ground and Flight Instruction are provided at no charge by our volunteer Certified Flight Instructors. Flight Training is performed in a Cessna 172 provided by the North Hollywood Optimist Club, the primary sponsor of Squadron 3 since 1951These two organizations are recognized as IRS (501 c) non-profit outfits. In addition to Air Explorers also provide for pay (Part 61) at a flight school at KVNY. I am currently training for my MEI (Multi-Instructor Add On).

Did you seriously send this in?

I gave about 1/10 the info in my answers to those questions and got the job. All they are looking for is if you meet the basic criteria to come for an interview.... Another note, VP of Flight Ops just said you can send internal recs his way. They have to apply online, get a reference number, then you can send all the info + reference and he will give them a phone interview.

Mission Statement and Purpose!

Hello,

Greetings from west of the Front Range. The western side of the rockies currently is hosting High pressure with severe clear and continuous chop.

In response to your question: Did I seriously send this in and the answer is YES!

The Mesa (LOR) and if you read my post throughly you will notice it is a comparrision. What I would like to know is what are your thoughts with this? Do you work for the company or similar?

Thanks,
Mark

I want to know what is it that I wrote to surface these thoughts (Kinda Scary)?

Mark
That's the kind of letter you post up in the break room for everyone to laugh at. You should put that in an old Publishers Clearing House envelope thats says "you may have already won $1 million dollars" on it. Then send it in.

Just found this thread, and I love it.
