Well I think 4700 hours should do it pretty well to get an Interview, since I do have an interview on Wed. coming up. Do me a favour, go out and get some O.K it will clear your head good and proper, before you say stupid things like that. Later. dgarro

Huh? Well grading english is one thing but blindness is another. I was not responding to anything you wrote. Hope you find the place where the interviews are being held.

Good luck and try to read the post before responding.

You guys are a hoot....hope i speeled, that right; and used consecutive--periods properly??

Personally I think everyone should learn to communicate just as if we were talking with Center. Would really simplify life....

"Honey, WWIIGuy with you, request permission to enter restricted airspace."
"Pilot calling, remain clear of restricted airspace and deviate to the couch."

"Honey, WWIIGuy with request."
"Pilot calling, go ahead."
"WWIIGuy requests beer from fridge."
"Honey unable at this time. You are clear to get a** off couch and transition to kitchen airspace for Beer Pickup. Dinner Plan cancelled, radar service terminated, squawk FYOD *fix your own dinner* change to any other frequency approved."

"Honey Clearance, WWIIGuy has CP *couch potato* Plan on file to Watch-the-football-game."
"WWIIGuy standby, clearance has been amended, Center is sending revised plan......"
"........."
"WWIIGuy is clear to the football game via, the Dishes-Garbage 3 Departure, Go-to-the-Store-With-Me INT, Connect-Communicate Transition, rest of route unchanged."

Crj dog. I do apologize to that remark, I hope I spelt it correctly.Anyway thanks for the info, Pinnacle seems like a great company to work for, this will be my first part 121 job since the company I currently work for is part 129.I am looking forward to it.Anyway guys and gals Merry Christmas to every one.

Now that was beauteous, I think that was one of the best posts I've seen so far!! Bravo, Bravo!!!!

What's up with all of the "grading" that goes on here? The question didn't ask you to grade spelling and grammar. He wanted to know what that airline's training program was like.

Loosen up. A lot of people here seem to be really spooled up and edgy. What's the deal?
And for you,,

Lighten up Frances!!!

Oh yeah, my fault. Sorry. I'll lighten up now.

I agree with you that wwii's post was one of the best posts in a while.

Happy Holidays to all of you.

No one died and made me God. I tried to make a serious point here that its tough to get ahead in life (in the U.S.) if you fail to communicate clearly.

I don't need to go teach 3rd grade English. I own a company and have 80 people working for me. I've hired and fired enough people to know what the guy running the HR dept thinks when someone comes in and can't speak English well.

For some.....

English is not required at Pinnacle. Just listen to them on ground in DTW and MEM. It's good entertainment.

Another cut at Pinnacle. That's class, Dodge. Keep the pilot pissing contest going on. Nice avatar, by the way. What web site did you get it from?

Vik, my point is that this isn't a proper English/grammar board. This person had a question and it took a while for it to get answered because a few seemed to be so consumed about the way he typed his question, myself included after looking at the grading going on. Who gives a sh*t? I understood the original post even though it has horrible grammar. Maybe it was wrong for me to voice my opinion and I apologize if I intruded here.

Hopefully the Pinnacle guys who responded answered the questions asked even though there was a lot of off-subject responses including my own.

Just having some fun.:) Forgot that I was among pilots, you know, no sense of humor. Best of luck to ya 9E for the contract.

I didn't bust his chops about his English. I was simply reading the thread and someone wrote that English doesn't matter and I made my point that it does matter in the "real world." The Internet is the Internet. Like that one jpeg floating around says, "Arguing on the Internet is like being in the special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still a retard."

Then of course, everyone got their panties in a bunch that I somehow took on the role of "God" and determined that you must know English to survive in the "real world." HAH. Gotta love this web site.

Dec. 27th

It's good to hear about the training at Pinnacle. I start the 27th of this month. I am looking very forward to it, but am stressed a little bit as well. I'm already hitting those Limitations and Memory Items. I've got 2 weeks, figure if I have them down cold by the time I get there, life will be alot easier.
I have flown a CRJ sim and I find there isn't much instrument scan. It's all right there in front of you in one cluster, it's all those cool buttons and lights that blow my mind so I'm sure the upcoming 8 weeks will be interesting. Sim is very touchy!!
Ahh, and yes, the 8 weeks without pay is something I'm not looking forward to really, however it's just another hoop to jump through in order to get a foot in the door.... Focus,Focus,Focus is my agenda. I figure alot of guys come off the street flying turbine already and have a leg up on FMS and complex systems so it will be easier for them, but I'm sure part of training is them scanning your body language and attitude. The interview process was a primary, but I'm sure training is the final word and I'm sure they don't hesitate to get rid of those that have negative attitudes.

Study, stay ahead of the ground school and/or sim session, have a good attitude, and you will do fine. The only people I know that busted out were too busy f'n with the flight attendants or partying every weekend to study. There will be plenty of time for that when you are sitting on reserve.

PS- Meet a Gulfstreamer in your class, they have good gouge.

Attitude is 75% of the training.. come in willing to learn and willing to try and they will match you 1 for 1. Come in with "an" attitude and you will get the 3 hour orals and the 3 hour check rides.

Suprisingly, most peep's don't have turbine, FMS OR complex systems. We hire from 1500 hour CFI's to freight dogs to corp guys. Let me put it this way.. the playing field is just about level these days....

There is really good gouge out there.. start asking/looking for it on day one, it will make it a bit easier.

New F/A's.. they are scared to the point to walk the other way to avoid the pilot's. If you knew half of the stuff they are selling those girls, you'd avoid the pilot's too... personally a waste of time.. you got plenty of time on the line to flirt.
