Yup. Moving to Houston later this month. The commute from Austin is nothing and worst case you can just drive to Houston.But it's still a commute.

On local terms an F.O. makes about $500 per month and a Captain about $1000 per month. Expats make more.

You don't necessarily need to learn Mandarin to work in China. I would guess that less than 10% of the expats there can say more than xiexie and zaijian.


As for how far east I would go for a job. Well, I've worked in Asia already and now I'm in the Middle East so I guess I'd go pretty far.
