Super, if that's true then I apologize for saying you spank it to www.hotgrannies.com.superjet said:Wasn't trying to fire anybody up, wasn't even enjoying the fact people might loose their jobs. So I apologize. Truthfully I am a airline business economist and I overheard some pilots talking about this in the Denver airport a couple of days ago. I just wanted some feed back from the people who are in the industry, I am truly sorry for stiring up so much angst.
I can't speak for everyone, but I think the thing that set me off was my (apparently) incorrect view that you were just trying to stir things up. A couple of things stood out:
1. You are a new poster
2. Your comment that it "sounded too good to be legit"
The last one was the clincher for me. Growing up in Oklahoma, I remember a typical spring afternoon and there were tornadoes popping up everywhere, tearing up houses. A newly hired, young meteorologist was covering the storm and when he was shown some "just shot" video of a particularly nasty F4 churning up a field, he made the mistake of saying on the air "ladies and gentlemen, that's just a beautiful site". Oops. On it's own, in a group of meteorologists, yes, maybe it was beautiful. To the family, who moments before had their 4th generation farmhouse destroyed by that same twister, the station manager and about a thousand angry viewers who called, the comments were inappropriate.
Just remember there are a lot of people on this board who will be directly impacted by Delta’s future, regardless of where it ends up. We don’t think its destruction is beautiful.
The meteorologist apologized and kept his job. So did you.
Forgiven and forgotten.
Take care,
