Was anyone in Vegas last week or so.... I was there... I think it was the hottest that I have ever seen... I've never had to worry about max operating temp... But when we left it was 47C... Damn thats hot... There were a few guys there at Exec that couldn't take off... Hope I don't have to go back anytime soon...

Wow that is hot!! I feel bad that they were stuck at Exec, that place sucks. Anyway I heard that Atlantic(??) bought the FBO. Is that true? They say it should get better. I say only if they fire just about everybody there and start over.

What were you flying?

Think the whole country has a heat wave, right?
In South Jersey it was close to 95.
Didn't a few people die in Chicago-land from the heat?

It was 103'F and HUMID here in NW Arkansas yesterday. (phew!)

I hope my home's air conditioner doesn't explode! (or my head when I get the electric bill!)

It's 90' right now -- high of 99' today. Supposed to "cool down" into the mid 80's by Thursday. Cant wait.

heat factor in central florida has hit triple digits every day lately. i am from ohio, and getting used to the humidity and stuff when i first moved down here only took 2 weeks. now, i walk out in stifling heat and humidity, sit in a closed-up car that reads 120 on the inside temp gauge, and i think it feels good. i don't sweat much anymore. being inside the cockpit of a cessna at 2000 feet also helps, don't get much cooling at that altitude.

98 at CMI with a heat index of 112. I LOVE HUMIDITY!!!

Executive has Crystal....... they don't need anything else....... I could normally care less about the girls at FBOs but she's something else altogether......

Of course if fuel was 10 cents less at the other FBO I'd go there- but the other FBO is Signature- which probably explains why Executive sucks.

Fuel with the UVAir card at Las Vegas Exec is like 3.18 a gallon. But the line service is terrible and there are few CSR's you can count on, especially to speak and understand simple English.

It's been upper 90s, lower 100s in the St. Louis area for weeks now. And people still claim global warming doesn't exist.

Yeah not only that, but when you ask for something they give you that, "why are you asking me?" attitude. I usually plan arriveing up to two hours prior to departure at Exec because everything takes so long. Some of you might say that it is due to the fact that they are busy. Well, doesn't matter if they are busy or not. Equally slow either way.

I thought it was just me...

It was 117 out there and i had to run inside 3 times begging to be pulled up, since we were parked near the strip , it seemed. I felt bad nagging them for a GPU..fuel...then three more times bugging them for coffee/ice/papers/catering. They finally got it all 5 minutes before pax showed. Each time I went to the counter they took my tail number and acted like it was the first request...even though I was just at the counter 15 minutes ago. Weird. They weren't busy either. It makes me appreciate the guys at Jet Aviation in Teterboro even more. Day, night, hot, cold...they are on the ball, at least that's been my experience. In Vegas, I was soaked from running in and out, and that was before the A/C quit, the ground delay and being #15 for departure on 7R....

It was so hot up front that I burned my fingers on the radio knobs and had to turn them with a TOLD card used as a potholder. THAT'S hot stuff!

I was in town over the weekend, but for fun this time. Came to town for a bachelor party. Best time of my life. The Hard Rock Hotel is awesome. I stayed cool just hanging at the pool all weekend.

It was 103 yesterday in St. Louis when I arrived at the airport to go home. I was sitting in an AA ERJ when they told us that it was too hot, and nine people would have to get off the plane. I volunteered and left this morning instead.

Screwed by the WSCoD!

Yeah, it seemed excessive to me as well, but that's what they told me. They said if they didn't get their 9, they'd start yanking people.

Hey, the SC in WSCoD didn't come out of nowhere! :D

And man, they need to put some better shocks on that thing. I could feel every bump and inperfection in the taxiway/runway. I felt like I was riding in a Cherokee.

Based in Vegas and we hit 116 3 days in a row, ISA +35 is the limit on the beech jet and that is 114.8 in vegas. Ive been here for 15 years and I never rember a hotter summer. Its Bananas

I grew up in Wyoming and am very familiar with 30 bellow zero wind chills. I love the cold, I would take that over this heat any day

Hey, the best thing about the Las Vegas heat is the Hard Rock pool.....oh my god man!!!!!

Big D--AMR strikes again. The want to shift even more flying to the WSCoD's. APA is trying to tell them that they are bumping pax every day the temp is over 85 (that never happens in the Midwest... ).

At least AMR is buying a bunch more WSCoD's to spread the joy...TC

Hmmm... I can't remember the last time I had to shovel heat off of the airplane, slid sideways on the runway because it was covered in heat, or had to wait in line at the de-heat pad so the truck could spray de-heat fluid on the wings.

I'll take the heat.:)

LV Executive counter help was biotchy, parking was $65/night (first night gratis with fuel purchase at $5/gallon of course), no one named Crystal and after 5 years of giving them my business I guess the recent purchase by Atlantic means I need to divert to North Vegas in the future. If they hadn't taken down their link on Airnav.com I would have dinged them there too!

Nothing stays in VEGAS ...!!!

amen brother.

Hi!

The max temp on my A/C is 49 C.

My CEO and I are going to Vegas for a long weekend away from the kids this fall. We've never been to Vegas, except to fly/drive through.

What are the best things to do in Vegas? I think we'll go to one Cirque de Soleil show, and have a couple of nights free.

Suggestions are appreciated.
