Why do furloughed pilot deserve my money any more than a poor Haitian who is forced to eat dirt. Yes...many people in Haiti eat dirt to help prevent the fealing of starvation. It is a slow death.
Or, why does a furloughed pilot deserve my money any more than my recently divorced aunt who is trying to support her two kids on the salary of a part time gate agent?
I think the point is...there are many people in need of charity. This is America, and I should be able to choose what I do with MY money.
Why are you on this forum? Because you are a pilot. Most pilots would like to think that we look out for one another. I guess you feel differently. Why aren't you on the starving Haitian forum? Give from the heart to the charities that YOU think are deserving. You don't have to talk about it, just do it. Unless,of course, you expect someone to give you credit for your generosity.
God forbid you need charity someday and YOU don't meet the requirements that you have set forth here.
