Wow, Dan. I think its YOU who are sounding every bit as defensive as the SWA boys on an SLI thread.

Sure is different when someone shines a light where YOU don't want it.

Okay Fubi, let's talk about the B scale YOU voted for at Alaska to save your job. For all the preaching you do on here about pay rates that drag the industry down your vote on B Scale makes you part of the club you despise the most. Pot meet Kettle.

but those flights that were cancelled were still profitable, and high-yield to boot. Your information is simply wrong.

That makes sense. Let's cancel some high-yield, profitable flights and move the airplanes to the Bay Area to compete with someone we're trouncing.

Yeah, right.

Sorry, Ace (or is it Sacka with a new screen name?). I was hired under the only B-scale Alaska ever had. It was on the property long before I came aboard.

Nice try, though, Loser.

You have said your a captain at Alaska, when did you upgrade, when where you hired ?

Figure it out, if you're such an Alaska historian. I spent the entire 5 years on the B-scale. So it had to be on the property before I got hired.

There's no way I could have voted for it.

So you knew there was a B Scale there and you chose to go there anyway and work for B Scale wages. Thanks for holding that bar up for the rest of us by working for B scale wages.

Awaiting your back peddling in 3, 2, 1...........

You going to Alaska for B Scale makes your diatribes in the LCC section laughable. Your credibility is going down faster than Kim Kardashian on pro athletes.

Well, they don't have a B-scale at VX now do they? They only have substandard wages/benefits. No chance of improving.

Quite a difference. Alaska wasn't pulling wages down at the time. VX is.

Easy to see, unless YOU have an agenda.

So stick the backpedaling comment up there next to your head, new Sacka.

Just showing how you love to talk out both sides of your mouth. Wouldn't B Scale be considered substandard wages? That's why they call it B Scale.

Seriously, new Sacka, you are a dolt.

On a B-scale it ends after a delineated time. 5 years in our case. With a non-Union substandard wage airline like VX, they ALWAYS have poor wages.

Once the B-scale is you return to the main pay scale.

VXers NEVER do. They're stuck making 60% of my wages. And that rate draws EVERYONE down to their level. The only thing they lead is the race to the bottom.

Isn't even 5 years of lower pay still lowering the bar for us all?

Hey, "EngineThunder," why did you edit out the "Navy P-3" reference in your post? Hmmm, could it be you realized it outed you BIG TIME as Sacha?? IIRC, and I have a memory like a steel trap, Sacha accused Fubi of that numerous times.... You can't make this stuff up!!

Oh, BTW, Miss Vicky sends her love....

Sorry, new Sacka, but you wasted $10 on a new screen name.

Well, Sacka, you're a liar as well. Nice try, Ace.

I bet you $1,000 I am not sacka. Wanna put your money where your mouth is? You won't though cause then you can be down $1,100 on FI. Check with the moderators if u don't believe me. I fly corporate. It is right there in the profile, dolt.

Well then, new Sacka, you don't know squat about Part 121 or Union contracts, do you? So STFU.

Again, you're a total waste of bandwidth. Back to your little Learjet and dreams of someday becoming an airline pilot.

Thanks. Back to the Learjet and Challenger. Dreaming of becoming an airline pilot, not so much, because I know I can't make it.

Fixed it for you.

You are correct, it does make sense. HA seems to be successfully focusing more and more of it's main resources on new routes to Asia, and raking in money to boot (seeing that their main pax demographic buys tickets in yen while they buy fuel in dollars. Look up the exchange rates and do the math). So why not re-deploy the remaining West Coast fleet to more profitable routes, and maximize the profit of a stable market while growing in other ones? Also, last quarter HA made a 25 million - ish profit if I remember the newspaper blurb correctly. Alaska is a good company too. Be happy with that. Plenty to go around for everyone.

Hey, I'm not bashing HAL. Just pointing out some schedule changes. It was Dan who got as defensive as a SWA F/O on an SLI thread. I found that curious since he was all over the SWA guys like a cheap suit.

Not just the SWA F/Os got defensive about SWA bashing. Some of us junior captains got defensive as well. You know, when other airlines' folks substitued their opinions as facts in determining what was "fair" and all.

Not that I'm mentioning any names or anything, but some of us junior captains are a little defensive about being stiffed out of gambling payoffs as well..... :)

Let it go, Bubba. You'll feel better.

The young fa's tend to get stuck on the GDL or MEX all-nighter. Go figure.

BTW, It's best to put Fubag on your ignore list like his pilot group has.

LOL. I did make the point earler that I certainly don't judge the AK pilots by his posts!
The reality there is always going to be a lot of airlines that come over here, you guys bring a lot of traffic here and that is good for Hawaii, which is good for us. We do fine and will always have a significant market share with people who want to go to Hawaii on Hawaiian Air and Hawaiian is very popular with the residents of Hawaii.
We are not going to kick anyone's ass, we are not out to dominate the world, we just have a good product that there is room for in many places. Near as I can tell there will be some more Asia flying, Canada, NZ and more Australia has been mentioned and the A350's are for non stops to Europe in 5 years. We'll see, like most here I'm cautiously optimistic as anything can happen.

For some reason Fubi thinks he has to attack everyone you guys compete with.
He doesn't realize it but he sounds like sacha or flyvixen from SWA. They are as different from the SWA pilots I've met as I'm sure Fubi is from most AK pilots.

Judging someone by the airplane they fly is beyond arrogant. There are plenty of Learjet pilots that are just as good or better than any "airline" pilot.
