I happen to be a pax, to the tune of Gold Elite last year on NW.

I'm telling you that most people are looking at you like you are a dork, no matter what you think. But if you feel like you are a professional because you have a hat I guess that is your right. Good luck with that.

The tune of Gold elite @sshole.

I guess you shared the same views when you were in the military huh?

Wear the hat, shine the shoes, shine the buckle, taper the shirt, starch the shirt, pleat the pants, remove the stains, wear an undershirt (part of remove the stains), and please please please don't convince yourself that you still fit into the 32's you wore when you first started.

From ALPA HQ policy:

17.21.a.2

"Representatives have the option of:

1) Wearing the hat associated with their respective airline, or;

2) A moustache may be substituted provided that it is of a size equal to, or greater than, that of the hat in section 17.21.a.2.1 ".

PIPE

I can't help but laugh at that post because of this people's court clip

If the hat is a required part of the uniform, you took the job with that knowledge. If you don't want to wear a hat, don't accept the job. If you accept the job, keep your word.

There was a time that keeping your word meant something.

And as far as the pax go, the "Chairman's Gold Elite blah, blah, blah" people are the most arrogantly insufferable of all.
