Title pretty much sums it up. Management always says that they will close up shop if a strike happens. I'm just wondering if a strike has ever actually lead to a company shutting down.
 
If you're asking about a purely pilot only strike then the answer is no.

If you're asking about a strike of any kind then I suppose you could say the Eastern mechanics strike would qualify. The airline was headed in in the gutter to begin with, thanks to the spaceman and the devil, but the strike (honored by the pilots) sealed the deal.

Technically, it was a lockout, not a strike. Same result.
