Guitar Guy, I had a pretty good experience with Twin Hill so far (I did Indoc a couple months ago), although maybe it was a fluke. The stuff arrived in good shape and on-time, and the exchange (the MW guys measured me wrong on the jacket) was quick and painless. Guess we'll see how it holds up, though! :D

I will try to answer all the questions.

I am former XJ (good luck guys). Very happy to be out of the "RED".

I was offered DAL and CMH but all bases were offered in our class. All bases were also awarded in our class. I think all Encore and hawker 400.

Our class has a weird mix. I think 13 new hires and several return from leave and one pilot trainer/manager guy. All great guys and a lot of experience. Fresh to crusty, Military, fractional/charter, to 121.

We are in the Candlewood. It's not too bad (thin walls). Thank God for the Car.

We were told that we were the last to go through Twin Hill. Next supplier is a mystery to all I have asked. M&H or whatever it says in the new revision.

Which shirts are better, Twin Hill or Van Heusen? I have had Van Heusens before and liked them but know nothing of Twin Hill.

The Hose Starts Opening Tomorrow.

Still a little numb. Can't believe it's real.

I have a couple pair of Twinhill pants that I won't wear because of that silly tab adjuster that I didn't know was on those slacks when I ordered. I think the Leo Meyers apparel was much better than Twithill and I'm hoping the new M&H uniforms will be very good.

By the way, your jackets and slacks from Twithill won't match the shade of blue on the new M&H uniforms from what the uniform committee is saying.

But how about we get back on topic and welcome Captain Dad aboard?

For me, it came down to the pocket opening. I don't like the fake pockets that are completely open across the top.

Even though I'm not impressed with Twinhill, I do think their shirts clean up pretty well if you get a stain on them. That comes in handy sometimes in the middle of the day...

I'll drink to that! Welcome, Captain Dad!

I'll give the Twin Hill stuff a few months on the line, I suppose, but I'll probably order at least one complete set of M&H stuff during the year with my uniform allowance, and I can compare 'em side by side. I've heard good things about M&H quality, so it sounds like it was a good move.

I thought I was going to order the Twin Hill shirts, but really wanted to see what they looked like. I'm glad I did, because as a result, I went with the Van Heusens. Some guys can't stand the open-top fake pockets; I kinda like those. On the flipside, I really like the split-yoke shirts, as they give me a lot more freedom of movement in the shoulders. The Van Heusens have that, while the Twin Hill shirts don't. That sealed the deal for me, and I ended up order all VH shirts.

As you exit the training room, take a right, and open the next door on your right. It's a closet, and has samples of a lot of the uniform stuff in it. When I was there a few months ago, there were a few of each kind of shirt, which I was able to see in person. I'm sure they're still there.

I know exactly what you mean! Congrats on the job; as a fellow ex-commuter pilot, I can appreciate how much of an improvement it is.
I feel your pain as far as the firehose goes; I'm at FlightSafety right now.

The Twinhill teflon-coated shirts are a lifesaver if you have a drinking problem like I do. The athletic cut shirts seem to fit fairly well as long as you arent a huge fatty (only a moderate one like me). Realize that you wont be able to buy the TH stuff after December so if that what you want then you sohuld probably order it right away as M&H wont carry any teflon shirts.

Welcome aboard. Remember, FlightSafety CMH is like no other . . . have fun anyway!

Been here 4 years - ex-military (Army Rotor and Fixed wing) missed out on the commuter and freight stuff, but waited longer than most to avoid it. I enjoy NetJets flying, keeps you on your toes.

Good luck.

We use M&H at Flex and I can say that their shirts are not that good. I always get the Elbeco shirts instead, much better shirt and it does have teflon. But, it does cost a little more but worth it. M&H shirts constantly have button failures and stain really easy.

Welcome aboard Cpt Dad!

I'm a Netjets guy deployed overseas.

I'm sitting in the Hilton (Diamond member, just like you are now) in Budapest.
(Known by all the military guys as "Booty Fest")

I see all of these other posts with beers clinking together! Yeah!

I'm off for the day and off to London tomorrow, so!

I'm toasting you right now with a Stella Artois beer! (It's 5 oclock somewhere?) (11:15am here)

Welcome aboard to all the new guys (Damn Dad, that tastes good!)

I'm on my 5th year at Netjets, and was 3 years at Flex before that. What a great group of pilots at both companies. I think you will enjoy the life.

Again welcome aboard to all of you, I can't wait to get back on the line.

Take care,
