Facing My Nerves on a 100 NM Solo Cross Country
Description:
After many years of flying, it was time to put my skills to the test and venture away from the nest. I have flown cross country flights in the 50-75 NM range, this past year with my aviation friends, but this flight would be officially my furthest flown solo that i can recall. The flight originates from Hartford, CT and heads North up into Newport NH, Parlin Field (2B3). I have Air Traffic Control with me and the wonderful Piper Archer I am flying is equipped with an autopilot! Listen to me talk about my journey, communicate with ATC and see what this New Hampshire Airport has to offer.

Flying a Cirrus SR22 | Like Dating a Supermodel
Description:🛩️
My first flight in a Cirrus SR22 felt like dating a supermodel, sleek, elegant, and unforgettable. ✈️A friend, Patrick Mullane, the proud owner of a rare Cirrus SR22 “100 Years of Flight” edition, invited me to brunch. He met me, in his Cirrus, at Hartford-Brainard (KHFD) on a smoky summer morning in July. In this clip, I share our preflight briefing and departure from KHFD on Runway 2. From there, we flew to his home base, Minute Man (6B6), touching down on Runway 21. At this welcoming Stow, Massachusetts airport, I met some fellow pilots and enjoyed a farm-to-table breakfast burger from Fourth & Field. Enjoy the highlights from this memorable arrival. Shout out to James N2741C, David, Haily and Don the airport manager!

NY Skyline Route: ATC, Hudson, East River & Central Park
Airspace: Class Bravo
Altitude: 1,500'

These views are absolutely breathtaking over Manhattan, NY. Join Larry and I on an impressive aerial adventure in our Cessna 172 as we fly south along the Hudson River, turn left over the East River then come directly over Central Park. This counterclockwise lap over New York at 1,500' is a packed with three different camera angles. Watch as we dodge the many helicopters and airplanes in this busy airspace. Listen to the cockpit audio as we legally fly this course. If you are thinking about trying this for yourself, maybe this video can provide some insight on how we did it. We were in contact with ATC the entire time and had a transponder code. This flight began from the north over the Tappan Zee Bridge.
