I may be wrong, but I believe the A models are smaller/shorter than the B's. I know the Takeoff weight is 1000 lbs less.

You are wrong. A models are the same length as the B and B+ models.

If the tax payers aren't going to pay for that route, the next likely candidate must be the FO.

That may be your only chance to salvage your sinking career thanks to staying at ASA. After paying and spending 2 years in the right seat of the Saab, maybe you'll be able to pass the type ride there, and then straight to your own dream job, USair. Good luck!

Godspeed!

I'm glad this thread reumed the gulfstream-bashing direction it was intended.. those guys arguing back and forth about the length and capacity of some turboprop that was outdated like 15 yrs ago was getting old. WHO CARES?!?! You sound like old men at the barber shop.

With regard to them resuming an "F/O Program", the market simply doesn't support it. Simple supply and demand. Not enough suckers around anymore who want to try to fly airplanes for a living..and the ones that do are at least informed enough to know that soon regionals will be hiring VERY low timers (as in no prior turbine time) into jets..or if the 1500hr/ATP requirement for F/Os really comes to pass, these companies will have to run their own time-building factories that THEY pay for.
I'd say the regionals are going to have some serious staffing problems in the next few yrs.

..And frankly if a company like Gulfstream can't manage to stay out of bankrupcy without F/Os paying to fly there...I guess that is their fate.

OysYoYo JennyLeigh what a putz!

You too Freeturd, maybe you can finally return from Da Nang and fly FO on a Saab. But, you may be the ONLY guy they charge $55K to yank gear. Why? Because they would have to pay your future Saab Captains extra just to listen to your stupid "me so horny" stories about you and your "friend" Trahn, a so-called female with an Adam's apple. Welcome home putz!

Godspeed!
