Just received the interview invite in my e-mail tonight. I'd appreciate an PM from anyone willing with the latest and greatest gouge or things to know for the interview.
Am I understanding correctly from the origional poster that GLA doesn't even provide a flight to the interview?
The road of the paper boy is lonely and desolate. Some days you ride your stingray slinging papers left and right with nary a soul to wave to. Other days you see the airline pilot just leaving your moms house after administering her much needed meat injection that your dad saves for his boyfriend. Alas the news must be delivered no matter what.^^^ Too bad we couldn't be in the same circumstances. But there's a plus to doing it all on your own I call it pride and hard work and it feels better in the end when you see the results and you know you got there because of you and no one else.
...121 PIC in 4-5 months, some folks will sell their souls for less

If you look on aviationinterviews.com the gouge is up to date and very accurate. Other than that Know jepp low enroute and approach plates like the back of your hand along with simple FAR/AIM IFR knowledge and you'll do fine.
I've heard that when there was a sim eval they were doing ADF approaches. Haven't done one of those in almost seven years so I'll probably want to get some practice before hand if a sim eval awaits..
Right here is why they need ALPA.Five weeks of training with no pay, A $7500 training contract, Low FO pay for at least 300 hours before becoming a CA (probably 4 - 5 months) How can anyone afford to do this? Not to mention you have to pay your own way to get to the interview. What's the appeal?
