This past tour I spoke to 7 CS pilots at Jet Aviation in TEB (after clearing customs) and in APF. All 7 had their apps in with NetJets.

Most of them frequent this board and others for the most accurate info concerning the process.

I was truely surprised by what they told me....Good luck to you guys.

Evidently, not much coming from CS management in terms of improvement of current conditions. Even Flexjet is now stepping up to the plate from what I hear in terms of salary (that's the rumor) - we'll wait and see on that one...

Next thing you know Avantair will pay better than CS!

Exactly..... Their management has all but said that they cannot or will not match our pay and benefits packages so there is no reason to hang out there if they can do the same job and get better compensated elsewhere.

Actions speak louder than words... If Flexjet steps up to the plate and CS does not, then I predict a faster exodus...

I don't know how many are here now but I bet quite a few have their apps in.

Avoid the rush and get a better seniority number.

Thanks for the reply. This is not a "Flame" question. I have heard moral is low at CS and was curious if a trend was starting....

I'm not part of this trend. We fly good schedules, make decent money (more than NJ a few months back), brand new equipment, with a great group of people. The grass might be slightly greener on the other side, but life at CS ain't bad.
Going foward CS has great potential. If this potential is relised a person on property today could be in the top 1/4 of a 1000 pilots vs. the bottom of 3000+ pilots.

RCA,

you never made more than us, benefits are part of the compensation package and your dont even match, dont be a fooled fool.

Sorry you guys have always been the best and will be the best forever and ever.
Dont even match, Nice to pretend I'm in grade school again.

Actually with that post you are proving you never graduated grade school. NJ did get paid more than CS. Read their old contract and do some simple pre algebra math.

NJ is leading the way and CS limps along behind. The last time CS was industry leading is over 3.5 years ago.

Facts are Facts, the rest is just so much bs.

Just because CS is not matching NJ doesn't mean things are bad at CS, it means things are better at NJ. I fly for NJ, and I much rather be here. But some of you make it sound like freeeking Mesa. If I did something stupid, and NJ tells me to go, I would look at CS inmediately.

Talked to CS pilot last week, he asked about NJ (upgrade time, pay, do they like CS pilots, etc)

Who cares? NJA is the flavor of the week. 6 short years ago, United and the other majors were the best thing since sliced bread. Today it's SWA and NJA. Tomorrow it'll be Dayjets and some place that doesn't exist yet.

Sometimes this board starts to sound like the regional board. "Mine's bigger, better, faster, higher, (insert word of choice here) than yours. So your job sucks."

I work at Netjets. Really enjoy it. But like CAL said. I sure wouldn't hesitate to go to CS if the situation called for it.

When it comes down to it, are you happy at your job? If someone asks about QOL or pay, give a reasoned, fact filled response. If someone doesn't agree with you, it's OK. It amazes me when people resort to personal attacks and mud slinging. There is no perfect job, and as it has been pointed out who knows who will be "king" in 5 years. Hopefully everyone is doing so well that we can all be laughing all the way to the bank.

Cheers.

I was a former CS pilot, just curious about what was going on. Also, I worked for Mesa...CS is far from being Mesa. "It is what it Is". Good Luck.

Ditto... They have a crew base in SAT.... (But would I have to fly with Bogart?)

Then I would give XOJet a look since someone posted yr 1 pay was $90K there. Not sure about the basing.

Yes.

Judson beat Reagan .... Then I watched the State Championship at the Alamodome ... one of the best HS footballgames ever played I am sure but Judson fell short.
--------------break break -----------------------------------
A few years ago there were those from other Fracs that taunted us (NJA) relentlessly on this board during our LONG fight for improved wages and conditions. So what comes around goes around.

All in all -- I would rather be us.... We have it good now. But that doesn't mean a few of the other fracs out there are terrible jobs.

This just in: Wholesale Prices Up 6.3% in '07; Largest amount in 26 years...

With our new contract we could possibly not see another increase in pay for a long time. We just got an 11% raise but 6.3% inflation eats up the lionshare of that value.
