GoJet... Will it ruin my career?

The following statement applies not only to GoJet, but to aviation overall and life in general. I believe it's wise to avoid doing things one may have to explain later, especially if alternatives are available.

Yep; they are all ALPA members now. And yes FI overuses the word SCAB to cover anything from crossing a picket line, to parking insome one else's parking spot.

No, I don't think being at Gojets will ruin your career. Stay clean with violations and pass your rides, and I think you have just as good of a chance as any other regional pilot. Most interviewers are older, and probably don't know much about any of the regionals, they themselves probably have been flying long haul INTL for the past decade and aren't up on current events or who pays what. Get the time and don't make mistakes.

Nah. But having bad timing does, regardless of where you are.

One of my first flight students is now managing a Hawker and making close to six figures/year with great benefits and an awesome company. They're now looking at bringing on a mid-size to large cabin airframe.

He was very persistent, and was at the right place/right time one day. Me? After working in charter and corporate, I'm sitting right seat at a regional. My timing was not as good as his!

It might not hurt you career, but it will hurt your quality of life, respect of your peers and ability to jumpseat without fear.

Unless you live in STL, apply elsewhere.
