It's amazing. I agree that gojets shouldn't exist and it is an alter ego for sure. But some of you are such a bunch of fagggs. Get over it! the company is still around, lowering the bar and whatever. But it doesn't get rid of the fact that people will still apply, some still need jobs and want to follow this career. You don't like it? Then get out and join the restaurant business where no one lowers the bar....O WAIT! THEY DO! it's called fast food, A.K.A American food!
Hope you aren't going to try to commute to work with go jets. If you are good luck catching a ride. We don't let em on our jumpseat.
These threads really get old after a while so I'll just keep reiterating what has always been said about GoJet. Why would you want to risk a future interview on a poor choice now? There may come a day when I'm on a hiring board and when I see a GoJetter application come across the table, I'll have one single word to say... "NEXT!"
No big deal, you say? Well, yes, the chances of ME being your interviewer are slim to none, but there are plenty others out there who feel the same way I do, so why risk it???
Dear se1776,
Your spelling, grammar, and general grasp of English sucks. You will fit right in.
Folks, this is utter BS. The same was said for PFT'ers back in the 90's; "Good luck getting a jumpseat if you fly for Comair!" or "Good luck getting an interview if you paid 10k to fly for Continental Express" and it never came to fruition. And PFT was far more insidious to the industry than GoJet. I know a GJ guy that jumpseats all of the time and has never been turned down for an open seat.
Get over yourselves. Flying for GoJet is no different than flying for any other regional.
Who cares, I'm not applying for a secretary position
Can you read? Nobody has answer the question.
I DON'T CARE, If you guys like this company or not.
I completely agree with you. The problem is that people still see 2005 in todays gojet. What happened in 2005 was just another small case of the continued degradation of this business and how management managed still to this day to turn pilots against each other. Still far more benign than what is happening right now with RJs flying coast to coast replacing mainline pilots with their equipment with hostile takeovers. But gojet did become union and got industry standard even though the standard is still very low. Worse things have been done to this profession like with the existence of Mesa or Skywest or rah than a podunk airline in the midwest. Now people actually think that pilots shouldn't apply because of what happened in 2005. Get real, gojet is basically ALPA alumni now.

Don't worry about it bro, some of these idiots here try make themselves seem so smart. When in the end all they have is a bachelor degree in AVIATION. WTF is that good for?
Basic spelling and punctuation do not make anyone "seem so smart."
Lack of this very basic, elementary school level of knowledge makes one seem dull, slow, and uneducated.....bro.
College is one of those hoops you just need to jump through. Take it from me I just graduated today and if I could go back and not waste my time with it I wouldn't.I rather fly with a pilot that Lack of those very basic, elementary school levels but has common sense, than with and airhead that writes perfectly.
Who cares, the only thing you’re going too write down is the ATIS anyway.
The only thing that captain is going to expect from you is, for you to know how to swing the gear and put those flaps up or down properly. The rest he doesn’t care if you’re a writer.
No grammar skills need it. see.
Unless you need a college degree for that…..

I'd rather not fly ever again that work for gojets. Not too long ago whilst commuting home, I had the choice of sitting in the jumpseat with the two ignoramuses or taking the long way home via ORD. I took the long way home.

Isn't that darling? The guy with the cute fluffy airline name (lynx) with the cute fluffy pay, doesn't like the big kid schooling.

Say that to the guy who got furloughed or downgraded at TSA because of the selfish GoJet pilots. I was offered a job there instead of waiting for an unknown class date at TSA, I said no thanks I'll wait. Ended up waiting 5 months flying the ditch, got online, then got furloughed. I wouldn't have changed my decision either. In the long run I think it worked out for the best, I will never have to worry about being one of those guys, and hopefully you won't have to be either.
Your a mental giant! Guess what, you became one of those guys and you are just too ignorant to get it. I personally love the quote about the poor guy who got downgraded at TSA. First, I don't work for GoJet, but years ago I did work for Eagle. How did you feel when our Eagle guys where being downgraded because you flew E-145's that WE owned and where painted as in American Eagle colors. You sure didn't mind taking our flying, in our airplanes, and displacing our pilots. Although, now that it has happened to you, obviously you've been wronged, right?
I love you TSA guys who play this pathetic victim role. You flew our planes on our routes while pretending to be Eagle for a long time before GoJet was even on the horizon. It's funny when the very people who engage in this behavior are the very first ones to gripe when someone does it to them. We looked at you guys just like you look at GoJet. You guys need a history lesson before you bash someone for doing what you have already done. I will say, atleast they fly a different type of plane with different colors. TSA flew the same planes we already flew, painted just like Eagle.
Lastly, I like that in your quote you mention that you turned down the job with GoJet. Why did you even apply? I love that you hate them yet you applied and then interviewed.
Speaking of cute fluffy pay for 74 souls on board:
