Nothing against commuters but at least they can throw the commuter clause out there. What about us in ATL that just cant make it to work cause of the ice. What card can i pull out equal to a commuter clause card? ...nothing.

The cute part is that the buses are not running to the parking lots tonight. So if you are stuck, you are really stuck!

-And the really sweet part: Poppalzaitio (or whatever that jughead calls himself) also sent a memo stating that if you are stuck, you may be given a double-occupancy room (since they didn't reserve any rooms in advance.) Direct violation of 5-b.1. -Another grievance which we could and should win, (yet another one which we will never even try to take to arbitration.) I sure wish we weren't represented by such a bunch of pro-mgmt. wussies.

-The fact that upper mgmt allows that "Popo-whatever" ass to continue to work here speaks volumes as to their true character. Some people think BH is a great guy. I think he is just great at letting others do his dirty work for him.

Oh wow. I didn't even bother trying to leave the house today. Outside is a mess. This city might be shut down the whole week!

As far a Popo-whatever, I agree 100%

Naaaahhh. Holt doesn't tell papafatass and blodgett to save money and be pilot hating dickbags.. They are just dickbags that hate pilots and know how to save money. Big difference. Don't blame holt for being a J*w. That's business.

Funny!

I agree that business is business, and honestly, I would love to have someone with his skills working for me if I owned a big company. However, I find it unfathomable that so many people in our union and so many line employees think he is their best bud because he doesn't tell them to "Go-F-yourself" like the old mgmt. always did.

-Probably some form of Stockholm syndrome at work here.

Excellent Point. Hoefully, XJET guys will take heed, and negotiate something along these lines for us. I am sick and tired of being told that we have to "fix another loophole" and "we gave the comapny an agreement they could sign" by our current guys.

I cannot wait for the next union election! It will be great kick each and every incumbent out, and have them all join us in this hell they were so instrumental in creating!!

1. On all the local TV stations they repeated many times that the governor declared a state of emergency. They kept saying a reasonable employer (yeah I know....) would not hold it against its employees if they stayed home today. Most businesses did not open at all today. On top of that all the authorities requested every one to stay home and out of the roads.

2. The training department sent out a memo today saying that if you thought it would not be safe to get to RGT today, to please stay home and your RGT would get re scheduled. Print that memo. If it is not safe for someone to go to RGT, it's not safe for you to go to the airport. As simple as that.

3. Learn to play the game. Last resort, if you want to make absolutely sure you get paid, call in sick. Unfortunately in this industry, you have to learn how to play the game. I used to have all kind of moral conflicts about calling in sick if I was not sick. I got over it.

I think you have a good case. Again, print the memo about RGT. If the company is telling pilots not to worry about getting to RGT, they can't give everyone else no shows for not being able to get to the airport.
Even if they give you one, I am sure you'll be able to fight it. And even if our stellar chiefs refuse to help you out with that I am sure BH will take care of it if you email him with your case and a copy of that memo.
