Well, I'm about iced in and can't get out of my neighborhood. My hills are to steep. I even tried going backwards in my front wheel drive car. I called scheduling and the first said they would code it as Misc.. Then to call a chief pilot. I couldn't get a chief pilot to call me back. So later I called scheduling back. She wasn't as nice as the first girl. If I can't get there I can't get there. Even parts of the interstate are now closed. What a mess. I wonder if they will pay us the lost block.

You can't make it. Don't go driving on 20 miles of ice for asa. They should code it as tbd (to be determined). Then have someone in the CPO CPU it for you. Eff scheduling. Stop being a vag

I'm sorry. Good luck. But seriously. Sack up

Same story here man...i can't get out of my neighborhood and even got stuck. I called scheduling and they put me out for the whole 4 day as Misc. and no pay. I will just have to talk with the chiefs whenever i can get into work. Im sure we aren't the only ones...

Yea they coded it as TBD. I told them I would come in tomorrow when I can safely get there. I'm not trying to play hooky but I couldn't even get up the hill in my neighborhood. The last time I got a CPU I had to go to a funeral for someone that was not in my immediate family. I did not get paid.

CPU= chief pilot unpaid. Hence.

Spin out into the I85 guardrail or not get paid for a day. Your choice

You know, if we can't get there due to icey roads, we shouldn't be docked for the the credit. Safety=no pay. That's not right. I will talk to a chief pilot whenever they "can get there". Worst case, use my sick bank.

If you wait too long and they dont put it in the computer as canceled then more than likely they will shaft with you "no show."

Duddn't happen. ASA schedulers are trained to punish pilots first, staff flights last. Welcome to ASA. You're gonna love it

Any flights that will be cancelled, have been.

That sucks. I guess EWR cancels so many flights that I've never NOT been canceled way prior to show when the wx is that bad.

Come on, snow, (tomorrow in EWR).

Lazy LIghtnin is correct. They will have you duty in, sit around for hours, then duty out at the end of your duty period (they will also tell you to call back every couple of hours to get out of giving you a hotel room.) Sched knows in advance that they are planning on canceling your flight, but they will wait until you are already there to tell you.

The only way I know around this B.S, is sick time. You are either at work, or you are sick. Not much in-between.

-Welcome to the suck!

All ASA flights for the remainder of the day cancelled

Looking at flightaware it looks like a few people showed up to work and we were able to get around 30 flights out. The 900 to Montrose even made it out. BTW are we overnighting there?

The cute part is that the buses are not running to the parking lots tonight. So if you are stuck, you are really stuck!

-And the really sweet part: Poppalzaitio (or whatever that jughead calls himself) also sent a memo stating that if you are stuck, you may be given a double-occupancy room (since they didn't reserve any rooms in advance.) Direct violation of 5-b.1. -Another grievance which we could and should win, (yet another one which we will never even try to take to arbitration.) I sure wish we weren't represented by such a bunch of pro-mgmt. wussies.

-The fact that upper mgmt allows that "Popo-whatever" ass to continue to work here speaks volumes as to their true character. Some people think BH is a great guy. I think he is just great at letting others do his dirty work for him.
