What's your realistic assesment on aircraft orders and growth?
Our "assesments" don't mean squat. The company does what it wants.
Facts:
Gemini is a shrinking company.
Gemini is hiring pilots to replace the ones who are leaving faster than they can be replaced.
Many new hires aren't staying though their first year.
Morale is in the toilet.
MX is having just as much trouble hiring mechs to keep up with attrition.
The company switched off 401K contributions before filing bankrupcy and still have it off now that Gemini is profitable.
Management will tell you at your interview that they "are looking at buying aircraft", just like they are "looking at" turning on 401K contributions.
There are no new aircraft on order.
There are no old aircraft on order.

Gemini is a typical "Freight Dog" way of life. Expect the worst, hope for the best.
 
Fedora is right on the money! Thats what they told me when I joined on. Our class did not have a training contract, we were the last. BUT...... One guy who left did recieve a bill for almost 16 large.OUCH!!!
 
Im not one to be completely negative.. but:
This is NO career place.
The long term guys have been here for over 10 years and would loose too much money if they left. Otherwise, they would leave too.
As for short term, I was there 3 years. It got worse by the day. They are again hiring for the DC-10, an aircraft they expected to park after a while.
Attrition is rampant... But, the 10 year+ guys aren't going anywhere, so you won't be upgrading to Capt.
An 8 plane airline will not sustain, sooner or later this place will fall..
If you want to be miserable for a year but fly the heavy iron... the flying is great... the guys in the left seat were great, but expect 20+ hour days, lousy pay, no support or appreciation..
If you really want or need heavy time.. then BOHICA
bend over here it comes...
It's a shame because it was a great place with a great future... but the future never materialized
