I luv flying

The only thing I was serius about was SL8. The rest was BS to rub in the nose of OYS (DAL Pilot-SWA reject). Sorry you couldn't see the sarcasm. I'll make sure to use more smiley faces in the future.

ps. keep taking advice from guys like Gen Lee. Unlike us he only has your best interests at stake!

:cartman:

Personally, I do not think you have my best interest at heart either. I just feel so sorry for all the guys/gals that have to come over and be apart of your so called CULTURE. After my hubby turned down the job at Southwest (yes he did and was happy to do so) so I could continue with my flying career I felt bad but now I am thanking God. He loves Fedex and made the right choice. If he would have to fly with you guys that would be a real hell.
I just don't get why you want to step all over someone to get one up in life? You have a real character flaw. I will be praying for your wife and children.

Gosh, you Southwest guys have some real issues.

Sure seems that way doesn't it? Interesting to note that their union apparently asked them to refrain from posting on public boards like this and you see a lot that did back off. Seems to me the few who still need to are either non SWA flamers or grossly narcissistic with very little regard concerning anything other than themselves or their airline. I don't think you can judge a whole airline by these clowns.
SWA and AT are two very similar operations who do the same type of short to medium haul LCC flying. As "GARY" said, they need each other equally or they will shrink. I'd say that's what an arbitrator will see.

You do raise a point though. I'm staring to wonder if perhaps SWA might have more than their fair share of egomaniacs. I see a lot of defensiveness on here about the fact that they make (finally) good pay relative to the industry and a lot of defending the people that bought a type to get hired (fair enough, I paid for my comm inst multi and flight instructor ratings). Tellingly, I have met mostly good people from SWA, buy they do have some that really seem to want people to know they are "AIRLINE PILOTS!" We all know the type and perhaps it's just a coincidence that they have been SWA people, but this board is starting to make me wonder.

Gotta laugh when a SWA guy bashes ALPA. ALPA is trying to represent the whole profession, SWAPA cares only about themselves. Right wrong or indifferent, it sounds pretty silly being a SWA pilot claiming ALPA sold out the profession allowing codesharing with RJ's and yet SWAPA allowed it's company to expand it's 737 flying into Mexico and Canada with other operators? Hello???

Ok guys and gals.. As you can see one of you newer members was just give a week off for TOS violations.. these were so bad in content and creative swearing that the member did not even warrant warning..

As you all know me by now, I am fair and equal to all.. the ruels here are just that.. to be followed.. As one of the moderators here, we get reports on specific posts.. as as such, I judge the merits of that post based on the TOS.. many time I do not read the thread, don't know what its about, and frankly don't have time to read them all..

So I ask and remind you to please obey the Flight info Terms of Service (TOS) no creative swearing, no sexual content or remarks and no person attacks..

For those new members that just want to blow their top.. take the days anger out on someone else or your just ticked off because you got stuck in a crappy job like being an airline pilot or janitor or something like that.. there is the non-aviation section here where you have a much higher allowance for raging madness..

That is all... clr4//mod

Not a good idea to form an opinion of a 32,000 employee company on the merits of less than 50 here on FI. Even if all 50 were loud-mouthed idiots, it still wouldn't even tell you anything other than those type of people tend to migrate to this particular website.

Hmmm, I used to work for a regional that made that same claim. Hadn't furloughed a single person in over 30 years in business.

When push came to shove, they furloughed in a heartbeat.

Dan,

That's hilarious. Thanks for the laugh. ALPA is only concerned about getting the dues money flowing upward.

Unfortunately I believe you are right Red. ALPA has become a super top heavy empire that is more political in nature than anything else.
