You made me think of an incident where a DHing F/A (from another company) told the crew they were landing at the wrong airport and they did land at the wrong airport. Then to make it worse, they took off and flew the additional 5 miles without a new relaese under 121. Both were fired. I personally know they F/A and met the F/O at another job.

Random thought mode off----

KBPK in 1998? If so, certainly not good CRM.

is mach80 on the wing with a broom trying to "save time and money"?

Do me a favor if I'm a pax on your plane. Don't try and do me any favors by saving "time and money". Get deiced. I don't care what you can see on the nose, or what you might think will blow off.

If everybody is doing it there usually is a reason.

Somebody needs to tell whomever posted this on PPRUNE to call the FAA Air Safety hotline. The local FSDO inspectors are required to investigate all complaints to the hotline. If you want to get these guys or their airline to shape up, call in the Feds.
