All strange as everyone at the training center at the moment is saying the opposite about the possibility of further reductions, they are all implying recalls... very confusing!

But wow that training center is like a ghost town at the moment, freaky to see how quiet it is and not one initial class on the board at all....there isnt even a free lunch as there were too few people there.

Forget furloughs and recalls. I'd be more worried about finding ways to fire captains. Have you heard of some of the assinine reasons we've had like 10 crews recieve some severely unjust shafting recently? I know there's always more to the story but so far what I hear its just been crazy shiz. Wont be long before some of these guys/gals mess up again and management can call them repeat offenders who the've given every chance blah blah blah you know the song and dance from the last time. Losing a bunch of highly paid and unneccessary captains improves the bottom line much better.

FG 102. He's already done 101. Some things never change.

As one of the 85 people at the bottom of the list I don't plan and don't have any intention to ever go back there. The crews are some of the nicest and professional people that you could ever fly with but as I guy under 30 I can't make a career at a place without any protection from management shenanigans. It has got to be one of the most phoniest places I've ever worked. Atleast, at an airline I know management doesn't like me and I'm fine with that environment. But don't act like you love me and every chance you treat the crews in a way that says the opposite. The CAB is merely a fraud for real representation. They have no power to do anything and the company knows this. From the start of ground school the management acts like "we are in this together" and they like you. And "we are not like other places and we don't a need union." Too many of the senior pilots have bought into that garbage. They are trying to get rid of senior captains as we speak. There is no protection for the pilots at all. I hope it works out for the rest of the guys there but unfortunately too many of the old timers are either too afraid or too brainwashed to do anything about it.

We chartered 23% of our flight hours for our peak day. Recalls. Puh-leaze.
