Pony up and get a Scott Bag, it'll last a career and fits nicely in the bin of a CRJ 200

You forgot to mention how much......250 bux!!! They are nice though. I think I may have found at Office Max a flight case that will hold everything and it has a roller (+ still fit in CRJ) Check it out! Dimensions look good....now all I have to do is take all my $hit to Office Max and stuff that fu*ker full to see if it works. I saw it today and it is put together real well. The inserts can be taken out.

1973 arrow: won't you get out your old fuc*ing big ass jeppesen flight bag that had all that bullsh*t from private pilot training, hell who knows when you might a 5 year old terminal vfr chart and old afm's. also make sure you pull out your knee board and copy down the times when you pass over your checkpoints, that'd be fun.

Go to OfficeMax and get the US Luggage flight case for $40. The handle will not break off like the $25 Office Depot model. It is vinyl instead of fake leather, but doesn't have locks.

I agree with dirty, get the US luggage bad. I paid 60 for mine (the price went up from a few years ago). I had the 30 dollar office depot one for about a day and then I returned it. the US luggage one will last a hell of a lot longer than the plastic office depot one. A guy in my class had his US luggage bag for 2 years working for chi ex. and it still looks great.

NOooooooo! Don't get the rolling flight bag for your airline job, you'll never live it down- never....

why not? At least I wont have a f*cked up back from carrying that $hit. Tell me your reasoning. Its not that visible and who cares if it is!

When are you not going to also have your roll-a-board to hook a normal person's flight bag to? Don't get the retarded rolling bag.

What am I saying? Get the ridiculous bag and drag it proudly. You'll be more popular than you ever imagined.

I'm sure I'm going to get blasted about this question but what exactly do you guys carry in the flight bags??
Flights---duh!!

I checked your profile, it looks a lot like mine. When I was a Fr8Mutt I didn't overnight anywhere. I had a rolling flight bag and it worked well in the Beech 99.... But when you get to the Regionals and if you fly a CRJ, odds are you won't be home every night.

Your overnight bag has a hook on it, use it to carry your stuff. As for what if you get a day trip, always pack for at least two days away and take your overnight bag no matter what scheduling says; there is no sure bet that an out and back will stay that way.

Also, the bag space in the CRJ is pretty tight, anything with wheels that fits in there will not leave room inside the bag for your required manuals and that Maxim magazine you have to carry.

Happy Landings

If you go to Harbour Freight and Tools you can get the metal one in person....
30.00 or so plus tax and no shipping charges.

Ok then....new question?????

Whats the best overnight bag that will be able to accomodate a heavy a$$ flight case. What are some good ones and which one is the best? Thanks!!!

I had two of the cheap OfficeDepot bags both handles broke off within a few months, then I purchased one of these bags. On the first trip the handle also came loose! Who could believe it!!! Well I discovered the screws holding on the handle were way to short. A quick trip to Maintenance fixed me up with longer screws and now it's stronger than ever. If you get one of these bags just redo the screws and add some small washers on top and inside you won't be dissapointed!
