That is not blowing off steam. That is disgusting behavior. It is not blowing off steam, and do not tell me it does not happen. I had multiple family members strike at Eastern, and I even walked the line with them. My support for them and the Flight Options pilots will never make that behavior acceptable. I know it happens. I have stood in groups of Eastern pilots and
heard them brag about taking a crap in a SCABS flight bag. THAT IS NOT OK.....EVER!!!!!!!!!

Agree. But it is funny as "crap"

400A, I highlighted the word "verbal" deliberately. Many people say things in anger that they would not follow through on when their temper has cooled and their better judgment prevails.

I have no problem taking your word for it that disgusting, unprofessional acts have taken place in the past, but I think it's hasty to judge and condemn your fellow pilots at this point. You are incorrectly using the term "behavior". That applies to actions--not speech. Right now the only one guilty of disgusting behavior is Marker. His fellow pilots are just expressing their thoughts on his despicable action. If they were to cross the line and actually perform a foul deed then I'd be in agreement with you. However, at this moment the distinction between talking and acting is too critical to be overlooked. NJW

Oh..... I get it, the kids at Columbine just talked about killing everyone at school. No need to worry.

How many actual strikes have you been a part of so that you can decide that it is just talk. You are in a dreamland. The Eastern Strike was almost 19 years ago and there are still people acting out just like he said. And they brag about it just like his statement. I will never buy your He is just venting garbage.

400, there is a huge difference in threatening murder compared to contemplating acts that would be categorized as mischief. Let's leave the Columbine tragedy, respectfully, where it belongs.

Attending a strike isn't a requirement to comment on basic human nature. Reality is, many, many people say things, especially when they're angry, that they would never do. Just because a few jerks out there actually did something immature does not mean that every disgusted pilot will. That said, a cautionary stance can be a good thing if it doesn't turn prejudicial.

I think the Options pilots are smart enough to take a calm, respectful hint that such actions would be inappropriate and counter-productive to their cause. I also trust the 1108 leaders to handle the episode effectively and diplomatically. They are monitoring the situation.

Damn 400A, take a step back and relax. This guy rubbed a lot of us wrong but I don't think any of us are gonna actually poop in his flight bag.

I for one would not meet him for breakfast in the morning or drinks in the evening and for what he is doing not only to me but my family i may have some wild thoughts just to grin at.

Kinda sounds like you are buds with Marker, maybe you could talk to him and help him join the right side. He ain't making no friends right now!

1108 is here to stay at FLOPS. We will prosper!

Good post, Sky4!! I particularly liked the mention of your family. The frac lifestyle can be tough enough without the pilots being underpaid/overworked to boot. Speaking of....

If the old way of doing business is cheating your family give it the boot!

Cheers for the 1108 FltOps pilots and their unified stand.

NICE! Real Professional:erm:

While I do not support his opinion, behavior like that is unacceptable. Not to mention criminal.

Dude, relax. Double check that blood pressure and axle grease. It was a joke meant to keep aholes and the likes of him paranoid and always looking over their shoulders.

Thanks for explaining that you were only joking, BJ. A bit of dark humor at a time like this is to be expected. Marker's logic is so weak and he is so out of touch with the goals of his fellow pilots that his email won't even make a dent in the wall of their unity. As several of the pilots have noted, facing a common enemy just makes a group more determined.

Options pilots are giving insulting FUD filled letters the boot no matter who sends them --
a CEO known to lie or a co-worker willing to cave.

Marker now has a reason to be paranoid. From some of what I hear the guys saying, he better not fly a aircraft with a light bulb burnt out, because I hear guys are now just gunning to find something to turn him in to the FAA about. He also better be sucking on that O2 above 350, oops, sorry guys. I won't say another word.

It's OK for you to voice your opinion, but he can't voice his, right?

Union turmoil at it's best. I love it.

History says it was not a joke, and that many will follow through.

I hope his FO's do good preflights and inform him of any problems via BB e mail with time and date just to have a record just in case the FAA wants to get involved later on.

Plus it will be there in case he tries to work a deal with MX to wait until they get to a MX base.

Remember safety, service then profitability
