New pay package and benefits to be released. Most pilots not expecting much, Gross to do a road show and release info via email.

good luck boys.

Let's hope they also offer more domiciles. You can't compete with Netjets for good pilots if you ONLY offer four domiciles... That's pretty lame.

Supposedly new hires have been told that Flex is studying an additional 10 bases.

Frankly, I think that the new package is going to be something special. It's going to have to be or they'll have 1108 on property faster than you can say union. I think Flex managemen knows this as well.

I hope you're right but, if it's not at least a 20% increase before the reduction to 15 days, it is a complete and utter slap in the face to us. Just look at Citation Shares pay that is 2 years old. We've been behind them too.

my honest feeling is that they know the union is coming anyhow and that well probably get something but nothing amazing. Just enough to keep guys around so that they dont loose to many guys during the time we bring in the union. Thereby saving as much as possible now before we get a contract.

I have heard FO's will get most of the increase while the guys whove been here the longest will get very little. Of course its all rumor until tuesday afternoon....if the budgets been approved.

doyle,
anything that doesn't address our non-compensatory QOL issues will be a slap in the face, so I'm expecting to get smacked.

Having said that I think one of FJ's management's priorities is to keep a union off property based on companies we have on retainer. Any package short of special will guarantee their failure in view of that goal and might not be looked upon favorably in Montreal. Job security can be an awful motivating factor for those isolated in the Crystal palace.

Personally, I'm just hoping that whatever bones are thrown my way will be enough to justify my remaining at Flex during contract negotiations. I hold little hope in that regard as well.

Anyways, here's hoping though I do wonder why in this time of email and blackberries we can't simply provide the new package to crewmembers and allow the road show to be a question and answer session for the crews. Maybe DG just wants to lessen the time available for his lashings.

Smoke and mirrors, like magicians, only work if you have a captive audience looking were they want you to look. Plus it helps when you have planted members in the crowd to support your act.
I triple dog dare someone to leave a few Flexjet pilot authorization cards or some orange pens on a table.

Plus when you have a road show it wastes more time and provides more fluff to get us closer to MAY since this is supposedly the only time a pay increase is allowed?

At one point in time I was told management did not want our payscales published on FI.com and that was why they were not emailed to us. That makes no sense because the first thing my friends want to know before they apply is Money and Time Off! So of course I tell them and they tell two friends... and soon there is inaccurate info out there! Seems to me we would be better off if we published the accurate info in the first place. but what do I know, I'm just a line schlub.

Yeah,
we don't want our payscales posted on FI.com. What? They're posted on airlinepilotcentral.com? Well that's a different story. What a bunch of rubes.

Story I heard was that new FO payscale will look alot like the current LEarjet CA scale, and Lear CA will get about what Challenger CA are making. Challenger CA will get a hardy thank you (no difference in CA pay moving forward). I think it's a relaible source - guess I'll find out Tuesday.

Seems like an evening conference call would have been a better way to do this, if they want questions....

Payscales have always been marked "confidential", but FLSA says that an employee cannot be punished for disclosing what he/she makes.

I've heard this rumor as well. Hope it's true as it would be a nice beginning.

They have been studying additional bases for the last 5-6 years! The only thing different for them to consider is the fact that there are now 245 members on the 1108 website.

Frankly, I think that the new package is going to be something special.

Something? Yes. Special? Not.

It will amount to nothing more than what would be considered a normal cost of living adjustment. Benefits will not change except for the new 401K option that has already been announced. Maybe 3 or 4 additional bases to be opened sometime in the distant future and a reduction to 15 days.

We will be voting on a union come May or June, the upcoming roadshows will almost guarantee that.

Also, do not lose sight of the fact that even if they were to throw a ton of money our way (Not gonna happen) it still comes without a contract!

Contract, Contract, Contract guy's. That's what is needed.

Yippee-ki-yay Mr. MClain,
post on here a bit more and you'll see where I stand with regards to the union.

Did not mean to cast any disbursions about your pro-union stance, I have lurked around here long enough to know where you and most others stand.

I just get a little nervous when I read threads that contain responses about everything except what is really needed most at Flexjet.

I've never understood why it is, when one company doesn't have a UNION, that that is what we need. Is it because misery loves company? Everyone has an opinion, but don't keep trying to force your lifestyle onto others that wish not to be part of that lifestlye.
